Regarding the oath, we dragons, along with our children and relatives, will abide by it. We will abide in truth. Vajrapani is the powerful protector! Along with our armies and mounts, we will go for refuge to the Three Jewels. Here, the fierce dragon children and many dragons dwelling on the unenlightened mountain, who create obstacles within the teachings, we will destroy their lives, please eliminate those enemies! Please protect my home! Wherever there is the essence of the Great Wrathful One, the mandala of the dragons, the method of averting, the method of remembering, or even just holding its name, we dragons, along with our power and mounts, will not cause harm to the place where we dwell. In reality, we will act like warriors, and all of these will abide in the oath. For complete protection, we will always dedicate ourselves. We will offer the essence. In all places, pacify by reciting Hūṃ (藏文：ཧཱུྂ་，梵文天城体：हुँ，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：Hum). I will keep the oath. Wherever the oath-holder dwells, I will not commit evil. After making this request, the Blessed One said to the dragon king Sogma Med, the lord of the dragons: Lord of the dragons, as you have spoken, keep your oath! In future lives and times, these are entrusted to you: please protect all sentient beings of Jambudvipa! Completely protect all grains, all flowers, fruits, leaves, petals, land, sprouts, medicines, and all forests! Protect them! Dragons, I have instructed you to transform Jambudvipa into the nature of the seven precious jewels, do not do anything else! After this teaching, the dragon king Sogma Med and all those dragon kings prostrated at the feet of the Blessed One and prayed thus: Blessed One, if we act differently from the five sentences you have spoken and do not accomplish them, then, Blessed One, may we deceive all the Tathagatas of the ten directions! If we were to transgress the oath of the King of Wrathful Ones, apart from the youthful, fierce dragon dwelling on the mountain, all enemies will be destroyed. May I be in discord with many dragons! The Bhagavan, I am unable to bestow vows upon the youthful, fierce one dwelling on the mountain, so he supplicated. The Bhagavan said to the great lord of the dragons: "Well done! Well done! Act in that way!" Thus, he bestowed his command. Bhagavan, furthermore, this thought of the King of Wrathful Ones, and the vidyadhara, should be regarded as seeing the teacher directly. I have not seen nor known one equal to the great power of Vajrapani. To the dharanis spoken by the Tathagatas, I shall listen with the openings of my ears. At the time of wrath or peace, Bhagavan, I shall know by the sound of Hum (藏文：ཧཱུྂ，梵文天城体：हुं，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：吽), Bhagavan, I shall accomplish the work in that way.
