And the star maiden Khana Hulukha, and the virtuous mother Gangkar Yödenma, and all other powerful yakshas like them, endowed with might, fierce and strong, with unimpeded power and strength, who control the lives of all beings in the three realms, and also many retinues who can harm sentient beings, who love life, who eat flesh and drink blood, gathered there. Then, the King of Subjugation commanded: "You yakshas, take vows and protect the essence of the teachings!" They replied in unison: "We cannot take your vows, nor can we protect the teachings." Why is that? Because you are full of love, compassionate to sentient beings, and eliminate all harm. But we delight in anger, hatred, killing, and cutting, we delight in flesh and blood, we live on flesh. If we are separated from these, we cannot live and will quickly die. Therefore, we cannot take vows." Thus they pleaded. Then, the Bhagavan King of Subjugation emitted a blazing light from his heart, like the fire at the end of an eon, placed it under his feet, and spoke this secret essence of his: Om Padma Takrid Vajra Krodha Haya Griva Hulu Hulu Hari Ja. We can also take vows." Having said this, all promised. Then, the King of Subjugation assigned each their vows and duties, and said: Hum Om! I am the King of Subjugation, I gather and subdue all without exception. All yaksha clans, without exception, must accomplish all that I command! Brahma, Krishna, and the spear-holder, spread all the Buddha's teachings, so that disease and epidemics do not occur, and all needs are fulfilled! Gangpa Sangpo, the tongue-wolf, increase resources, grains, and treasures, gold, fruits, and livestock when needed! Libinhar and the bird-holder, and the cave retinue, I have made you masters of the lives of all sentient beings in the three realms! Hanu Bagsha, ash-colored mother, may there be no offspring or descendants, may samsara be completely destroyed.
