In Sanskrit: Bhuta Vinakaratanatantraraja Nama. In Tibetan: The King of Tantras Called "The Subduer of Bhutas." Homage to glorious Vajrapani! At the time of this exposition, in the great palace atop Mount Meru, the jewel mountain, in the victorious palace blazing with five kinds of jewels, together with the wheel-turning ones and those who have transcended the world, thus: the countless, inconceivable, and inexpressible assemblies of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas completely filled the expanse of the sky, and the retinues of Brahma and Indra, and so forth, were also perfectly situated in the sky. Surrounded by assemblies of gods, humans, asuras, and gandharvas, they dwelled together with those assemblies that completely covered the sky, the space, and the entire earth. From among the assembled retinues, the great Lord Ishvara rose from his seat and, bowing his head to the feet of the Bhagavan, the Subduer of Bhutas, implored thus: "O great king of wrathful ones, I beseech you to speak the words that slay the wicked and unruly of the world." Upon this entreaty, the Bhagavan, the great Lord, the Subduer of Bhutas, bestowed approval upon the great Lord Ishvara and spoke these mantra words that utterly destroy all bhutas: Om Vajra Jvala Hana Hana Sarva Bhutanam Hum Phat. Bhagavan, please quickly protect us! Compassionate one, please certainly protect us! So he prayed. Then, the Bhagavan, the wrathful king, said: Great king of bhutas, please grant siddhis to the people of the four continents! Especially, please grant to the people of Jambudvipa mercury, elixirs, wealth and gold, pearls, lapis lazuli, rubies, agate, crystal, silk, incense, and divine food! May all life and enjoyment increase and expand! Please serve the yogis who follow as slaves! Hey hey, great invincible bhuta, please quickly and respectfully listen! Also, to the lazy, those who break vows, do evil, like to lie, act wickedly, have little diligence, are poor, disabled, and without merit, be sure to grant siddhis! If you do not grant siddhis to the yogis who follow, you will be punished with a vajra that cannot split the head, and you will fall into the great hell! Thus, he was bound by oath.
