风轮黑色，以剑之连绵为庄严，其外侧蓝色地基之上，天空之轮绿色，中心圆周之内缘以金刚杵之连绵为庄严，一切轮皆具八辐。其外侧围墙之内，乃彩绘之环境，即东方与火方为黑色，南方与真离为红色，北方与具力为白色，西方与风方为黄色。主尊莲花之下的地基为蓝色，从其至土地环境之内缘的地基颜色也与彩绘相同。坛城之外，供养之地上，莲花与贤瓶等供养云聚密集。其外侧，土地环境之上的天空，具力方满月正在升起，真离方太阳之轮正在落下。其更外侧，乃水、火、风之环境。其外侧，天空环境以中央之金刚杵连绵环绕。如是，大坛城之外侧，一切方向皆放射无量金刚火焰智慧之光芒。主尊之座，于罗睺之坛城之上，承载魔与烦恼之二神。心要莲花八方之花瓣，六轮之四十八辐，八门与八隅，即七十二处神祇之所，皆为亡者之座。火与风之环境交界处，东方以矛穿刺，火方有残余，南方焚烧尸体，真离方猛烈交战，北方腐烂，具力方孩童死去，西方有脓液之气味，西北方为蛇所食，此为第一组八处。彼等之间隙，另有八处尸林，风之右侧为骨骸，左侧为鹫，具力之左侧为哈哈作响，右侧为极度喧嚣，真离之左侧为猛烈之声，右侧为佩卡拉，火之右侧为可怖，左侧为令怖，此乃第二组八处，即十六大尸林之相。

The black wind wheel is adorned with a series of swords. Outside of it, on a blue base, is the green sky wheel, the inner edge of its central circumference adorned with a series of vajras. All the wheels have eight spokes each. Outside of that is the painted environment within the enclosure, which is black in the east and fire direction, red in the south and true-separation direction, white in the north and powerful direction, and yellow in the west and wind direction. The base beneath the main lotus is blue, and the color of the base from there to the inner edge of the earth environment is the same as the painted areas. Outside the mandala, on the ground for offerings, lotus flowers and auspicious vases, and so on, are densely gathered as clouds of offerings. Beyond that, in the sky above the earth environment, a full moon is rising in the powerful direction, and the sun's disc is setting in the true-separation direction. Further beyond that are the environments of water, fire, and wind. Outside of that, the sky environment is completely surrounded by a series of vajras in the center. Thus, from the outside of the great mandala, infinite rays of vajra-flame wisdom light radiate in all directions. The seat of the main deity, upon the mandala of Rahu, carries two deities, Mara and Klesha. The eight petals of the essential lotus in the cardinal and intermediate directions, the forty-eight spokes of the six wheels, the eight doors and eight corners, that is, the seventy-two abodes of the deities, each has a seat of the deceased. At the boundary of the fire and wind environments, in the east, pierced by a spear; in the fire direction, with remnants; in the south, a corpse being burned; in the true-separation direction, a fierce battle; in the north, decayed; in the powerful direction, a child has died; in the west, with the smell of pus; in the northwest, eaten by a snake—this is the first set of eight. In the spaces between them are another eight charnel grounds: to the right of wind is a skeleton, to the left is a vulture; to the left of the powerful is one making a "ha ha" sound, to the right is one extremely fierce; to the left of true-separation is one with a fierce sound, to the right is a Phetkara; to the right of fire is a terrifying one, and to the left is one who causes terror—this is the second set of eight, the characteristics of the sixteen great charnel grounds.
