Having asked thus, Vajradhara then arose from that samadhi and addressed the retinue, including Vajrapani, saying: "Listen, sons of the Victorious Ones! For the true meaning, there is no name. If it is not indicated by the means of words, the meaning of the unconditioned state cannot be understood. That state of meaninglessness, in the unconditioned, impartial, and limitless, by what door shall it be established? All appearances and sounds are shown as essence." Thus he spoke. This is the first chapter, the chapter of perfect questions and answers, from the Root Tantra of the Complete Perfection of Body, Speech, and Mind Vajra. Then, the emanation of Vajradhara, the Vajra Holder, again arose from his seat and spoke thus: "O, O, Teacher Vajradhara! The self-arisen essence, the delusion of appearance and reversion, the six powers that have increased and the complete habitual patterns, the actions from the lineage of delusion, please show how to be liberated in the state of reality." Having asked this, the non-dharma Vajra spoke: "Listen, emanation Vajra Holder! For the state of reality of the general essence, the nature, definition, division, and example, I will teach in four rounds and three groups. The essence of the general basis is the general ground. The great state of reality is nothing at all. The nature is the basis, not a thing. The definition is the source of all arising, the basis of movement, memory, attachment, and clinging, the basis of existence. The divisions are each their own desired tenets, like the uncertain, spontaneously accomplished, and primordial purity. Examples are like jewels, the sky, etc., shown symbolically from all sides. The five-fold and three-fold arise from one. For the general basis, state of reality, and essence, establish it with the basis. The state of reality and essence are unconditioned, shown as essence in the unconditioned. The state of reality and essence are impartial, shown as essence because they are impartial. The state of reality and essence are limitless, shown as essence because they are limitless. The state of reality and essence arise from it, shown as essence because they arise from their own nature. The four are complete, one is complete in one, considered as one. Summarized as basis, path, and fruit." Thus he spoke. This is the second chapter, the chapter symbolizing the general basis of reality, from the Root Tantra of the Complete Perfection of Body, Speech, and Mind Vajra. Vajrapani again spoke: "O, O, Teacher, Protector of beings! For these ignorant ones with substantiality, it is difficult to clearly establish the essence, state of reality, and general basis. Four types
