In the language of India: Śrīlokadīpanāmatantrarāja. In Tibetan: The King of Tantras, called Glorious Illuminator of the World. Homage to the glorious Vajrakumāra! Thus have I heard: At one time, the Tathāgata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, the all-knowing wisdom holder, resided in the wrathful king, the glorious Kīlaya, together with the wrathful deities of the Vajra Heruka lineage, the wrathful mothers of the Vajra Krodhi lineage, the wrathful deities adorned with Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྂ,梵文天城体:हुँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ) and others, their mothers, male and female servants, gatekeepers, the eight Gaurīs, the eight Siddhas, the powerful mothers, Vajrapāṇi, Mañjuśrī, Avalokiteśvara, and other Bodhisattvas of fruition, as well as other gods, nāgas, garuḍas, kinnaras, and so forth residing on the ground and paths, the eight classes of gods and demons, the Bodhisattvas of the retinue, the inconceivable abode of wrathful deities, the inconceivable palace of the vast lotus cemetery, in the place made of the cemetery, resided together with the close retinue. Then, fierce wild animals such as tigers, dogs, and wolves, and many cemetery birds such as eagles and vultures also gathered. They will also gather. He entered into samādhi of body, speech, and mind and slept. Then, the retinue asked: O Emaho! The teacher like the Buddha, Is not in another place, The one who is already enlightened dwells manifestly. Please show the blessings and wonders. For the sake of generating Bodhicitta, Establish the aspiration while dwelling in the cause. By accomplishing the meaning with the four actions, The body of the accumulation of merit will also arise. E ba~ṃ māyā. From that mind's perfect wisdom, the great Kīlaya appeared with limitless bodies such as heads, hands, and feet. Then, he initiated the Lord of Secrets from the door of the mind, spoke to Avalokiteśvara from the door of speech, and gazed at Mañjuśrī from the door of the body. Furthermore, he also gazed at all the retinue, and also laughed, and light also arose from the wet elephant hide.

Similarly, light also arose from the tiger's tail and so on, and the retinue were all delighted. Then, the Bodhisattva, Lord of Secrets, asked: 'The Tathagatas usually do not smile without a cause, nor do they look, nor do they laugh. Blessed One, what is the cause? What is the fruit? What is the condition? Please explain, King of Wrathful Ones! Please explain, Sugata!' After asking this, the Blessed One, King of Glorious Kīla, replied: 'When the time is right, listen! I will explain it to all the retinue, and also to you, for the benefit of the future. For example, the appearance of a Buddha in the world also requires a cause, requires a condition, requires a fruit. For example, the growth of the Udumbara flower in the great ocean also requires a cause, requires a condition, requires a fruit. For example, the appearance of a Chakravartin king in the world also requires a cause, requires a condition, requires a fruit. For example, the growth of crops and essence in the world also requires a cause, requires a condition, requires a fruit. Similarly, my smiling also has a cause, it is not without a cause, it is not without a condition, it is not without a fruit.' Thus he replied. Then, the Lord of Secrets again asked: 'Blessed One, what is the cause of the appearance of a Buddha in the world? Similarly, what is the cause of the appearance of the Udumbara flower? What is the cause of the appearance of a Chakravartin? Similarly, what is the cause of the appearance of crops and fruits?' After asking this, the Blessed One replied: 'What is the cause for sentient beings to become Buddhas in the world? What is the condition? What is the fruit? Because a teacher appears in the world, there is a cause for the appearance of the Udumbara flower, there is a condition, there is a fruit. If there is farming work by farmers in the world, there is a cause for the growth of crops and essence, there is a condition, there is a fruit.' After saying this, he looked at all the retinue. The secret of body, speech, and mind of all the Tathagatas, from the tantra that illuminates the world, the first chapter, the introduction. Then, the Blessed One spoke this verse specifically.
