Nga. This lineage should be fully upheld, as it is not done with a feeling of distress. Having received five empowerments, and with comprehensive understanding and knowledge, this lineage should be fully upheld. If examined, there are the Guru's instructions, and if practiced, there is the power of ability, therefore this lineage should be upheld. From the Ocean of Ambrosia, the nineteenth chapter on fully upholding the lineage. Asked the teacher Samantabhadra, "Is it not permissible to hold if one does not have the proper vessel?" Samantabhadra replied, "If one does not have the proper vessel, one will sell the oral instructions, sell the scriptures, speak carelessly about the oral instructions, have no confidence in the view, not be restrained by conduct, not establish the principles of practice, quarrel, do evil deeds, be arrogant, be conceited, and be quick to show off. Even if such a person holds this lineage, it is like a lioness's milk, destroying oneself and others, breaking the heart, and causing eons of leprosy and disease. The result will be to be born in the Avici hell. Therefore, keep it secret, hide it in the treasure of the mind, and unite the bindus of the three mandalas. From the Ocean of Ambrosia, the twentieth chapter on keeping secret from those who are not vessels. The Tantra called Ocean of Ambrosia is completed.
