In Sanskrit: Arya Citta Mahakala Carapatha Tata Tantra. Citta Maha Dukha Sarva Sahala Namo. In Tibetan: The Tantra of the Noble Great Compassionate One, the Protector, Who Cuts Through Samsara. Homage to the Great Compassionate One, Who Pacifies All Suffering. Thus I have heard at one time. The Bhagavan Amitabha was in the Sukhavati realm, in the palace adorned with Zamatok. Surrounded by two hundred million hosts of deities, nagas, planets, the four great kings, the ten direction guardians, and bodhisattvas like Ksitigarbha, as well as sixty-two dakinis including the dakini Padma Gar gyi Wangmo, they were together in one place. At that time, the dakini Padma Gar gyi Wangmo requested the Buddha Amitabha, saying: "O Buddha Amitabha, for the sake of benefiting beings, please reveal the place and nature of the Great Compassionate One." Amitabha replied to Padma Gar gyi Wangmo: "Padma Gar gyi Wangmo, listen with your ear faculty." Then, Padma Gar gyi Wangmo entered into a samadhi without distraction. Then, the Buddha Amitabha spoke: "The place where the Great Compassionate One resides is on the summit of Mount Potala, where all the rocks are like various lotuses in full bloom. In all four seasons—summer, winter, autumn, and spring—the flowers and fruits never wither. It is adorned with lotus flowers, thousand-petaled lotuses, great lotuses, and various other flowers. On all the rocks, the Great Compassionate One appears in various forms, such as the thousand-armed and thousand-eyed Avalokiteshvara, Avalokiteshvara, Kharsapani, Simhanada, Amoghapasha, Samsara Dongtruk, Hayagriva, and countless others, frolicking. The forests and mountains all naturally arise as the bodies of the deities. All sounds, such as the sound of water and the sound of wind, are the sound of the seven-syllable mantra. The living beings that dwell there include pigs, pigeons, hunters, Brahmin men and women, thorn extractors, and lotus stalks with various leaves and fruits growing on them. The light of the sun and moon pervades everywhere. Its nature is the speech of all the Buddhas, the Sugatas of the three times.

My own nature. Endowed with sixty branches of melodious sound, it accomplishes benefit and happiness until the six realms of samsara are empty, it is the nature of a Bodhisattva. From the highest peak of existence to the lowest worm in the dust, it pervades, it is the nature of the Great Vehicle. Without pure or impure distinctions and without stinginess or hesitation, it accomplishes benefit and happiness, it is the nature of a Buddha. Although performing beneficial deeds in samsara, it is not tainted by the faults of samsara, it is the nature of Nirvana. Thus it is said. From the Tantra of Self-Liberation of Samsara, the first chapter, which teaches the outline. Furthermore, when asked by Padma Gari Wangmo: O Buddha Amitabha! For the sake of performing activities for the benefit of beings, Please explain to us the outer practice and the activities for the benefit of beings. Thus she asked. Padma Gari Wangmo, listen! After generating the mind of supreme Bodhicitta, One should meditate on the four immeasurables. The seven branches are for purifying and accumulating merit, First, meditate on emptiness. From the letter HRIH (藏文:ཧརིཿ,梵文天城体:हरिः,梵文罗马拟音:hariḥ,汉语字面意思:哈日) of one's own mind, From VAM (藏文:བྃ་,梵文天城体:वम्,梵文罗马拟音:vam,汉语字面意思:瓦姆) arise various lotuses, Above that, from BHUM (藏文:བྷཱུྃ་,梵文天城体:भूम,梵文罗马拟音:bhūm,汉语字面意思:布姆) arises a celestial palace, With six lotus petals and a surrounding circle, With corners and doors in the four directions, Adorned with precious jewels, create it. In the center of that, a sun and moon lotus seat, Above that, from the emanation of HRIH (藏文:ཧརཱིཿ,梵文天城体:हरिः,梵文罗马拟音:hariḥ,汉语字面意思:哈日), The protector, the Self-Liberation of Samsara, With one face and two arms, the color of the body is red, The right hand holds the sword of wisdom, The left hand holds a vase of nectar, Adorned on the head by the Lord of the Family, Hayagriva is clear in the heart, Adorned with a rosary of one hundred and eight crystal beads, Possessing the ornaments of precious jewels, Abiding with a smiling face, from the heart, From the six petals of the lotus, the letter HRIH (藏文:ཧརིཿ,梵文天城体:हरिः,梵文罗马拟音:hariḥ,汉语字面意思:哈日), Meditate on a garland of six letters.
