Thus it arises. For example, like clouds in the sky, it arises uninterruptedly in its own nature. Because the nature of awareness is not established, there are no shapes or colors to grasp. In emptiness, it shines brightly without attachment. Because it is a sign, it is impossible to establish anything that can be identified. The essence is emptiness, and the nature is clear. It is free from the limits of definition that can be expressed. Various appearances gather into one. It transcends the limits of distinguishing differences. This is from the Lotus Blossom Tantra, the second chapter showing the way of abiding of self-arisen awareness. Again, the retinue asked: How should this king of self-arisen awareness be realized? The Buddha Dharmakaya spoke again: This mind-essence, which has no root, abides in the vast, uncreated natural state. Gather and observe the scattered thoughts. For example, like clouds and fog in the sky, like the essence of the sky free from clouds, abide in the uncreated state, neither increasing nor decreasing. Again, like the clouds in the sky, know that arising and ceasing are established from space. Likewise, hundreds of thousands of abandonments and realizations, gather the scattered and observe the mind. Observe all unestablished phenomena in the mind. The nature of mind is uninterrupted self-illumination, free from the limits of grasping and being grasped. For example, like stars in the ocean, contemplate appearances without inherent existence. The nature of mind is originally clear, clear and not involved in attachment, like the example of a child's butter lamp. Appearances cannot establish anything that can be identified, for example, like the moon in water. Emptiness and clarity are uninterrupted, for example, like a rainbow in the sky. The union of cause and effect, interdependence, the cause is the illusory body aggregates, the result is non-dual and appears as emptiness. From the cause of emptiness, compassion arises, the result is the non-dual manifestation body. Like the essence of the radiant sun, it arises effortlessly and spontaneously. From the Lotus Blossom Tantra, the third chapter showing the means of realization. Again, the assembled retinue asked: Alas! Buddha Dharmakaya, if one does not realize this, how should one grasp it? After asking this, the Buddha Dharmakaya taught: Listen, all you assembled retinue, if you do not realize the nature of mind, you will become a great demon. One should grasp the essence of the demon oneself. In the equality and impartiality of all phenomena, evil slander is the demon of Dharma, one should abandon people and concepts. For all sentient beings in the three realms, in compassion, equality and impartiality, I and mine

The demon of clinging. Without enduring suffering with the mind, The teacher who acts is always aware of himself. Without letting go of the overwhelming force of afflictions, Do not abandon self-illumination, let it vanish. The demon of clinging to biased views, Bias is separated from the edge of realization. Meditate on the mind, clinging to thoughts, Place awareness in the state of clarity and emptiness. The demon of actions that reject and establish pretense, Release the head of the eight worldly concerns. The demon of hope, doubt, and hesitation about results, Realize your own mind as the Buddha. The demon of wanting external asceticism, Experience it without inversion. The demon of attachment to meditative experiences, Leave the mind without any support. Experience it without laziness, In the essence of your own blessings. Doubt enters, it is the demon of blessings, Practice without doubt in ultimate truth. Disbelief is the demon of the lama, Pray with intense devotion. Increasing faith is the demon of Dharma, Strike the cause of suffering with an iron hammer. The demon of virtue is lost at the end of compounded things, Place practice on the scale with sorrow. Wasting generosity is the demon of stinginess, Hoping for the pleasure of fruition and enjoyment. Obtain the absence of focus with vastness, Wasting discipline is the demon of pretense. Protect your own mind purely without deception, Wasting patience is the demon of anger. Use it for meaning without astrological constraints, Wasting diligence is the demon of enjoyment. Meditate on impermanence and death as the nature of Dharma, Wasting contemplation is the demon of distraction. Without distraction, place it in the space of Dharma nature, Wasting wisdom is the demon of not knowing one's own face. Realize the mind itself as the Dharmakaya, In this body born in one lifetime. Integrate the meaning of the sutras into the Dharma, From the Tantra of the Expanding Lotus. The Fourth Chapter: Identifying Demons. Again asked, When will the connection with demons be severed? When asked thus, the Lord of Speech replied: The yogi who practices, Before the mind and habitual patterns are separated. Without distinguishing the boundaries of samsara and nirvana, Realize the mind itself as primordially empty. Samsara's nature is unborn, If not realized, it cannot be understood. Realize samsara as without inherent existence, Before dualistic appearances and thoughts are liberated. Self and other, grasper and grasped, cannot be exhausted, Let dualistic appearances liberate into self-illumination. Without knowing the self-liberation of the six consciousnesses, It cannot be severed by meditating with mind-clinging. Let it liberate into the state of appearance and emptiness, Samsara
