In the language of India: Śrī Bhagavan Mahāvaśaṃsamudāya Mūlatantra Nāma. In Tibetan: Called "The Root Tantra of the Glorious Bhagavan Great Empowerment Assembly." Homage to the Bhagavan Great Empowerment King! Thus have I heard. At one time, the Bhagavan, the Great Empowerment King, the essence of the body, speech, and mind of all Tathagatas, in the place of Akanishta (the highest pure land), in the secret great bliss, the pure realm of Dharma, in the supreme lotus palace, in the vast and immeasurable pure land, was delighted with the great play of inseparable father and mother, endowed with joy and bliss. The emanations of the nature of the great mandala's families appeared as follows: the wisdom deities, the Tathagatas, the peaceful assembly appearing as the Vajra, Ratna, Padma, and Karma families, the wrathful assembly such as the All-Victorious One, the six great mothers, the great mothers of the Dharma realm, the five families of wrathful deities who subdue beings with the forms of birds, the assembly of arrogant males and females of the world, the Naga kings of the three thousand worlds and their retinues, the assemblies of Nagas and Rakshasas, the assemblies of inauspiciously born planets and stars, and those arrogant assemblies, endowed with immeasurable power and miraculous abilities. In order to subdue them, the eight great and fierce wrathful ones with their consorts, born from the radiating light of emanations, the four goddesses dwelling at the four gates in order to accomplish the four activities, and also the four Dakinis emanated from various activities such as body, speech, mind, qualities, and activities, the eight emanations with eyes born from wisdom, the sixteen chief messengers of the great flesh-eating demon assembly, the eight swift mothers of activity emanated in the form of bodies moving in the sky, the twenty-eight Rakshasa women of the secret mothers adorned with powerful ornaments, and also the gods, Nagas, Yakshas, Gandharvas, etc., who have accomplished worldly activities.

Together with the retinue of countless evil ones, such as Ma Khandro and Mi'amchi, they dwell inseparably. Then, the Bhagavan, the King of Power, the Lord of Speech, the body, speech, and mind of Amitabha, although not moving from the great peace of the equality of Dharmata, yet with great compassion and great love, in order to subdue the arrogant who cannot be tamed, the body, speech, and mind transform into great terrifiers, as follows: All the realms of space in the ten directions are dark blue triangles, the space of the mother Kuntuzangmo; all the realms of wind are violent storms, green crescent moons intersecting, the space of the family mother and the Samaya Tara; all the realms of water are the basis of attachment, the nature of blood, red and round, the space of the family mother Mamaki; all the realms of earth are the nature of a pile of corpses, yellow and square, the space of the family mother Buddha Locana; all the realms of fire are blazing and burning, the space of the family mother Pandaravasini; all aspects of Bodhicitta are great Mount Meru of burning skeletons, extremely terrifying forms, the lord of all families, transforming and blessing into the nature of pure Dharmadhatu. Furthermore, the outer world, the beautiful and precious palaces, are actually dry and wet skulls, flesh and blood, palaces built of bones, the nature of the complete three bodies. The worldly gods, nagas, and great planets that have been killed and subdued are made into pillars, the nature of the inferior eight vehicles. The servants of the gods in the sky and the constellations are made into rafters, the nature of the accumulation of merit. The light of the sun and moon shines without increasing or decreasing, as the form of skylights, the nature of pure skillful means and wisdom. The power and arrogance of the world, the great Ishvara and the Chakravartin with the crown, are subdued and erected as victory banners, the nature of the Dharmakaya victorious over all things. The four directions appear as four doors, knowing and distinguishing the four seasons, the nature of the four immeasurables. All directions, inner and outer
