Yāmantaka Samudāya Mūla Tantra Nāma. In Tibetan: The Root Tantra of the Collection of Yamāntaka. Homage to the Bhagavan Tathāgata, the Great King of Wrathful Terrifier! Thus have I heard. At one time, the Bhagavan Tathāgata, the Destroyer of all Yamas, whose body is the Great King of Terrifier, in the Akanishtha heaven, in a vast and excellent mansion, spacious and immense, equal to the limit of the sky, at that time when he was dwelling with the great and inconceivable play of body, speech, and mind. The assembly of attendants was: the supreme of the holy sons of body, speech, and mind, called the King Yamāntaka, and the Intoxicating Flamer, and the Noble Red One, and the Nine-Haired One, and the consorts who delight in the bodies of those great sons of the family, called the One-Haired Mother, and the Great Fierce Woman, and the Radiant Mother, and the Great Glorious Mother. The ones who complete their actions are the liberating mothers, called the Great Black Mother, and the Mistress of Desire and Blood, and the Mother Who Pervades the Four Continents, and the Rakshasa Woman with Hanging Head. And also the great chief of Yama, called the Destroyer of the Black Host, and the Perfect Lord, and the Destroyer of Existence, and the Bear-Headed Bull-Headed One, and the Yavati, and the Red-Eyed One, and the Extremely Focused One, and the Very Oily Dripping One, and the Subduer of Demons, and the King of Dharma, and the Burning Red One, and the Skull-Club-Wielding One. The consorts who delight in their bodies are called the Black Mother with One Hair, and the Crystal Nine-Faced One, and the Wrathful Crystal-Eyed One, and the White-Mottled Bared-Fangs One, and the One with a Bear's Jaw, and the One-Haired One of Blood, and the Naga Woman Who Walks with Her Mouth, and the Three-Eyed Bared-Fangs One, and the Dusky Black One-Haired One, and the One with Vajra Hair, and the Red Mother with Nine Faces, and the Black Mother Pig.
