Translated, proofread, and finalized by Nub Namkhai Nyingpo at Samye Drakmar. In the language of India: Butra Tantra Collection Lamp. The place of great compassion's purification. Activities are the magical displays of the gods, the accomplishment of perfected activities. The lamp that clarifies the meaning of distinctly differentiating secret mantras. The great king of all teachings. Homage to the Bhagavan Samantabhadra, the King of Wisdom and Knowledge. This is the excellent explanation, This is the great teaching of all, Eternally, for eons, at Samye, Abiding in an unspeakable manner. In the ten directions and the three times, All the Buddhas who reside, With various activities, Satisfy the minds of beings, With wondrous and great blessings, Displaying many kinds of magical displays, The meaning is complete, benefiting others, The intention of all beings is one. In the vast expanse of pure space, With the clear light of awareness and wisdom, In the state of the great Dharmakaya bindu, The sole realm of activity of the Buddha. The co-emergent, unmade Bodhicitta, The suchness, one, without difference, With the appearance of ignorance and delusion, Accumulating the grasping of subject and object, For the sake of taming the objects of taming with skillful means, The purification of great compassion is never interrupted. The great Buddhas, And all beings of the six realms, Holding them with the rope of love, The agent and the action, And the object of focus are certain, Thus, with the unmade, complete bindu, The self-arisen, naturally appearing body, Is spoken by the Tathagatas. The Great Compassionate Buddha also, The basis of the nature of abiding, In that meaning of suchness, Buddhas and sentient beings are without difference, Originally enlightened, spontaneously accomplished, Without searching, abandoning, or establishing. Not discriminating by the aspect of conditions, But shown in a mere sound, The confused obscurations are purified in their own place, The nature of reality, the equality of infinity, The limit.

Not abandoning peace, not abiding in existence, that itself is known as the Buddha. The Buddha, when examined through symbols, possesses immeasurable great qualities. Although beyond measure and number, it is summarized as body and wisdom. Five, four, three, and two, likewise dividing the bodies of one. Essence body and resultant body, Dharma body, enjoyment body, and emanation body are five. The resultant body is the fruit of cause and condition, therefore the supreme Thubpa (Sage) has four bodies. The essence body is a single, detached fruit. The Buddha's speech is indeed the three bodies. In short, mind itself is the Buddha, a sentient being that is not that, nothing whatsoever exists, naturally, from the beginning, manifestly enlightened. All are the fruit of detachment, therefore the essence body is one. The four and five knowledges, like mirror-like and equality, discriminating awareness and accomplishing activity, the wisdom of the knowledge of the sphere of reality. That itself, reality and knowledge, although separate from arising and ceasing, in terms of convention, each has its own cause and coexists, Alaya and afflicted mind, mind and the five sense consciousnesses, arise truly from the sphere of reality. Therefore, the saying of cause and effect, is considered only in terms of separation. Undistorted, unfabricated, the glory of glory, from the spontaneously abiding Buddha, with the activity of compassion, in whatever place, is completely seized by the illusory serpent. In the very meaning of true certainty, although the agent and action are not observed, from the fruit of previous habituation, the emanation of great compassion arises. By distinguishing the ground, path, and fruit, compassion has three aspects, focusing on sentient beings and phenomena, the great compassion without focus, the Sugatas (gone to bliss) and victorious ones of the ten directions, repeatedly speak with one intention. Thus, being sustained by compassion, to whatever disciples, the scriptures of various sounds, like various jewels, reveal various aspects. Appearing to speak without speaking, with various means of compassion, taming them as appropriate, to the groups of external agents, speaking by showing that and that appearance. Whoever wishes to see annihilation, the extent of what appears is only this much, the previous and later births of sentient beings, and the omniscient Buddha, and the hidden non-existence, and the powerful and the maker, and karma and result.
