Great wisdom is as clear as the sun in the sky, The rays of light of the Bodhicitta appear in the sphere, With the power of bravery and swiftness, subdue the arrogant, The brave one who subdues demons, I prostrate and praise you! Like a precious treasure, fulfilling all desires, The treasury of all Sugata's teachings and logic, The tantra of the terrifying king, the Black Moon Secret, Subduing arrogance, we prostrate to this tantra! After praising thus, all dharmas are transformed into the nature of intention. The method of hiding this fierce tantra is spoken as follows: Wrap the scroll with silk, Then with pure cloth, Think well and wrap it around. Then with iron or wood, Put it in a box, On a clean, soft stone slab, Seal it with glue, and place the box inside. Hide it in the depths of the ocean. Or the box itself, Tightly bind it with sinew cords, Hide it in a red rock cave monastery. It is certain to meet with those who have karma. Thus it was said. The general collection of teachings on methods of benefit and harm, the mind of all Buddhas, the essence extracted from anger, the root of all instructions for protecting the doctrine. From the great root tantra of glorious Yama, the Black Moon Secret, the chapter on praising the meaning of the perfection of the retinue, and the method of teaching the hidden instructions, is the fourth chapter.
