The Sutra Called "Gathering of the Sugatas" In Sanskrit: Sugata Samudaya Tantra Nama. In Tibetan: The Sutra Called "Gathering of the Sugatas." Homage to the Bhagavan, Glorious Samantabhadra. Thus have I heard at one time: all dharmas are unborn, abiding in the state of equality, abiding like the eight examples of illusion. There is no birth or cessation, and self and other are not seen. With vajra-like samadhi, all dharmas are one in bodhicitta, appearing as many different things, yet appearing beyond the expression of one and many. Alas, alas! The nature of bodhicitta is such that from the non-dual essence, various appearances arise in the one, transcending the expression of one and many. Thus it is said. Like equality of example, equality of meaning, and equality of all dharmas being spontaneously accomplished. Emaho! The dharmas of samsara and nirvana, transcend the expression of one and many. It is difficult to point to this as one. Samsara itself is nirvana. Thus it is said. If one realizes without artifice or corruption, like a wish-fulfilling jewel, whatever one does is spontaneously accomplished, realizing the meaning of non-differentiation. The essence of bodhicitta is difficult to fathom like the sky, appearing as anything without being anything. It appears as the two, ultimate truth and conventional truth. It appears as the two, one and many. Samsara itself is nirvana. Ignorance itself is the true path. If one realizes the meaning of bodhicitta, discursive thoughts are the dharmakaya. Ignorance and wisdom are not different. They are merely separated by individual appearances. Ignorance is also one path. Since it does not arise from anywhere in the beginning, it does not go anywhere in the end. Since there is no cause of birth in the beginning, there is no path of death in the end. Since no thing abides in any way, it cannot be pointed out as one. Since there is no place of birth and change, killing and cutting cannot be established. Through the conceptualization of ignorance, one experiences unpleasant pleasure and pain. Abiding in a vajra-like state, like illusion, water moon, and echo of a rock. Thus the secret words were spoken. Alas, alas! Through the blessings of great compassion, the thousand-fold world is filled with the bodies of the victors, and there is nothing that moves from bodhicitta. For example, like a rainbow in the sky, white, red, and blue cannot be determined. Likewise,

The nature of mind is also such, it cannot be pointed out as this. Not knowing is like a rainbow in the sky, therefore, leave it uncorrected as it is. Thus it is said in the secret words of the Vajra. The chief of all Sugatas, although appearing with father, mother, and son, is one in the essence of Bodhicitta. The unborn and undying Bodhicitta, without gathering or scattering, is the Dharmakaya. Without good or bad, it is Samsara and Nirvana Dharma. Without cause and effect, it is equality itself. Without cessation, it is the nature of mind. For example, like a dream or illusion, it exists primordially like the sky. This sky is like this, it cannot be well expressed in words. Likewise, the nature of mind also, cannot be pointed out as this. If pointed out, it becomes the confused Dharma of grasping and holding. That which cannot be pointed out is the supreme of viewing. That which cannot be meditated upon is the supreme of meditation. The Samaya that cannot be protected is spontaneously accomplished without protection. In the unerring Dharma nature, the self-nature is the unborn Dharmadhatu. The uncorrected Bodhicitta is the Dharma that does not obstruct cause and effect. For example, in the great ocean, all streams flow and gather. Likewise, from the nature of Bodhicitta, both Samsara and Nirvana arise and gather. Thus it is said in the Vajra words. Emaho! The essence of the Sugata is difficult to fathom like the sky, and cannot be grasped like the image in a mirror. It is devoid of words like an echo in a valley. This Vajra essence of quintessence cannot be spoken of as self or other. This Dharma nature that cannot be pointed out, understand it as unspeakable. The unspoken word is the supreme of words. With the wisdom of hearing, thinking, and meditating, open the discrimination of the mind, and realize this definitive meaning. If this definitive meaning is not realized, even if meditation and practice are prolonged, one will not know the cause of the bondage of grasping and holding. Therefore, realization should precede. If realization does not become confidence, no matter how one practices, it becomes the cause of bondage. The view of confidence in realization is to examine the reality of the nature of things. If this definitive meaning is not realized, Samadhi meditation becomes the cause of attachment. Like a forest of sharp razors, etc., it also grows because of one's own discrimination. Therefore, realization should precede, and the meaning of realization should be cherished. Thus is the Dharma of the Sugata's own nature.
