The Gradual Path Showing, the Illusory Ocean Homage to the glorious Samantabhadra! At one time when this was spoken, In all directions and times, The nature of the Buddhas, the Tathagatas, The essence of the aggregation of dust-motes, Is the body, speech, qualities, activities, and mind. In the immeasurable ocean of wisdom, It abides as the essence of perfected qualities. The great Akanishta palace, The place of the bhaga of all the Victorious Ones, The expanse of joy where all qualities are perfected, In the nature of the immeasurable wisdom of the dharmadhatu, In the place that is completely encircled, Immeasurable qualities increase. The doorframes of the four liberations are beautiful, Adorned with garlands of the five desirable qualities, Possessing the stirrups of the eight liberations, Emitting light with garlands of moons, On the seat of the sun, moon, and lotus, The Buddhas who purify the five aggregates Are shown as the five kings. With the queens of the five elements, With three faces, six arms, and four legs, They abide in a manner of emanation. Consciousness, faculties, objects, and times, Outer and inner heroes and heroines, Each of their colors and attire, With the coquetry of thirteen attires, They abide on a seat blazing with the sun and moon. Those who destroy the four dharmas of the body, Those who abide at the four gates, Also with the fearful manner of consorts, They abide with a blazing and terrifying manner. The ocean of wisdom, Akanishta, Is shown as the essence of perfected qualities. In the center of the blazing wheel, The master Samantabhadra turns the wheel. The attendant disciples are present before him. He makes them understand without speaking. With immeasurable wisdom completely perfected, The field, wheel, and enjoyment are completely perfect. The place of joy, bliss, and perfect completion, The palace where all of the ten directions and four times are completely gathered, The master and ornaments themselves, From the Akanishta of the world's abode, A place twice as wide, Transcending the three limits of things, The palace that is not abandoned and is complete with ornaments, The self-nature of the five qualities, The four corners appear encircled by topknots. Likewise, from the distinction of the mind, Self-appearing Victors, minds, and so forth, And the first Buddha, the Victorious Ones of the ground, Great Bodhisattvas and great destroyers, Immeasurable and unspeakable, They abide in a twofold manner.

O! Among the retinue, possessing supreme fortune, The master of the secret of the opportune time for taming, Vajrapani performs the gathering. At that time, because it is free from the limits of time, The essence is the equality of the four times. The victorious bodhisattva yogi, The intention and awareness are transmitted through the ears. The secret essence is precisely that nature, That itself arises from the realm of certainty. The manifestation of the complete illusory net, The ocean of teachings, the treasury of the mind, The intention of self-arising and self-appearing, The blessing of intention, self-arising, The mind itself, self-appearing, with form, Since conceptualization is not the realm of children, Therefore, the victorious son, the bodhisattva himself, Explains to himself and interprets by himself. This secret treasury, the illusory net, Is the root of all teachings, The sole self-arising wisdom, Clearly pervading all without exception. The great clear bindu, Is the nature of perfectly complete qualities, Dharmachakra (Tibetan, Devanagari, Dharmacakra, Romanized Sanskrit, Dharmacakra) the place of Dharma, The four lights, A, etc., reside in shapes. The indestructible bindu with the shape of Vam (Tibetan, Devanagari, vaṃ, Romanized Sanskrit, vam), The master who clarifies bliss for oneself, The four consciousnesses, Manu, mind, etc., Are said to be gathered by experiencing wisdom. Wisdom, born from the form of space, Paramartha (Tibetan, Devanagari, paramārtha, Romanized Sanskrit, Paramartha) profound meaning, The time of bliss is free from before and after, Abiding as the essence of all three times. The dwelling place of the Victorious Ones is Bhaga (Tibetan, Devanagari, bhaga, Romanized Sanskrit, Bhaga) nature, The place of complete actions and qualities, The bindu, the nature of bodhichitta, The master of all self-arising wisdom. For sentient beings pervaded by attachment, The retinue abiding simultaneously with concepts, The great bliss of co-emergence, Experienced in an inexpressible manner. By gathering the limits of the acting wind, All co-emerge and appear. Entering time, the time without concepts, The time when the imputation of great bliss is exhausted, The deeds of the Victorious Ones are inconceivable, To whomever, however, one tames there, That ocean of conduct is precisely that nature, Appearing in the essence of immeasurable wisdom. Since qualities are completely perfected at once, Equality abides without alternation. Thus, one speaks to oneself about oneself. From the Tantra of the Illusory Ocean, The first chapter, the introduction, is complete. Thereafter, the Tathagata himself, The essence of the assembly of Buddhas, With the intention of explaining that nature, By the equal union of the bliss of entering, Becomes the essence of equal taste. The ten directions and four times, without exception, Since the one and the many are without distinction, The blessing of intention is upon oneself.
