The Heart Essence of All Gurus, Yidams, and Dakinis, Called "Vast Expanse of Sky." In Sanskrit: Guru Dhiva Dakini Sarva Citta Tantra Gagana Paryaya Vistara Nama. In Tibetan: The Heart Essence of All Gurus, Yidams, and Dakinis, Called "Vast Expanse of Sky." Homage to the Bhagavan, the primordial protector, the unchanging light, the essence of the King of Power with limitless splendor, the complete body, speech, mind, qualities, and activities, the unwavering one. In the pure realm, a palace adorned with layers, above, below, in all directions, without any location, completely without interruption, clear and radiant, with extremely beautiful forms, a realm of majestic mountains of ornaments. More than the realm of appearances, in the vast expanse free from grasping and fixation, from the beginning, there is no movement of samadhi, abiding in the equality of the three times, without clarity or obscurity for those to be tamed who are free from directions, contemplating equally, seeing without intolerance and dependence, the teacher who performs the actions of great equality without forgetting, the Bhagavan, the protector of the vast expanse. The emanated retinue of Bodhisattvas, Vairochana, Akshobhya, Ratnasambhava, Ragavajra, Arthasiddhi, and the bodhisattvas of the five families, Dharmadhatu Vajra, Rupa Vajra, Shabda Vajra, Gandha Vajra, Rasa Vajra, and Sparsha Vajra, the consorts of the families, and the retinue arising from the play of the self-manifested mandala of emanation, when the spontaneously arising wisdom, the light of the expanse, shines everywhere, at the time when the white, red, and blue rays from the mandala of the Bhagavan's body, speech, and mind shine intensely and dissolve into the three places of the retinue of bodhisattvas and consorts, the retinue of self-arisen emanation rises from the self-manifested mandala, and in order to show the greatness of the nature, they request the definitive understanding of the ultimate meaning, the vast expanse of sky. At that very moment, his vast and limitless mind...

From the mandala of the lotus (padma), rays of various colors radiate, pervading all directions, and then it is said: Ema! An inconceivable realm! Heroes and heroines, listen! From my emptiness, it manifests, from my emptiness, it arises naturally, the mandala appears from my dharmadhatu, the rays shine from my dharmadhatu, in self-arising, I have perfected everything, the meaning of perfect wisdom is profound. From the vast expanse of the minds of all lamas, yidams, and dakinis, this is the first chapter of the introduction. Listen, retinues of self-appearing manifestations! The meaning of non-elaboration, free from elaboration, the great wisdom free from elaboration, by the yogi free from elaboration, cut off the elaboration of the mind and practice. When practicing this key point, in order to ascertain recognition, cherish the qualified guru. All Buddhas of the past, present, and future, to the qualified guru, pay homage with reverence, accomplishing the fruit of perfect enlightenment. Therefore, seek a guru who possesses all qualities, that guru's physical form, beautiful, warm, and dignified, conduct in accordance with the minds of those to be tamed, skillful in means for taming each according to their needs. Speech is also gentle and pleasant, worldly idle talk is little, rains down the dharma rain of definitive meaning, in accordance with the speech of the Buddhas. Likewise, the mind is also clear like the sky, possessing the foundational meaning of view, meditation, and result, free from selfishness, for the benefit of others, striving with compassion without weariness. In short, all actions are in accordance with the supreme Mahayana Dharma. Thus, seek a guru who possesses these qualities, having found them, with body, speech, and mind, accomplish all that pleases them, delighting them with reverence and offerings, not causing them displeasure, abiding in vows, following their teachings. Thus, relying on the guru, happiness and auspiciousness, like a wish-fulfilling jewel, wishes are accomplished. From the vast expanse of the minds of all lamas, yidams, and dakinis, this is the second chapter on the way to seek and rely on a qualified guru. For a qualified guru, even if they possess the complete inner and outer Dharma, if there are no suitable disciples, the fruit of liberation cannot arise, therefore, cherish the tameable, suitable disciples. That is, those with great faith, diligence, and wisdom, open-minded, with little stinginess and attachment, diligent in practicing the Dharma.
