Chapter One. Thus, the meaning of what was asked as it is, the words bestowed by the immeasurable king: "O, assembly of gathered retinues, listen to the Vajra of Form and so on. Hold the words of the unchanging Wisdom Vajra in your mind with great non-conceptuality. From the miraculous display of the great primordial sound, the play appears as the deity of wisdom. If asked how to explain the number of verses and names, then speak the definitive meaning of the teachings. For the sake of pleasing those who enter, to ripen and liberate the root, To accomplish the supreme and the common, and the distinctions of various actions, Although one desires certainty and the numbers are many, there is no definite nature, But for the benefit of those to be tamed, the entrance to the number of verses and names is shown with certainty. The Lama, Yidam, and Dakini, from the play of all meaningful wisdom, Expand the order of symbols and signs, outer, inner, and secret, The intelligence of the lowest, middle, and best, with certainty and without certainty, And the very nature of the utterly uncertain. Speaking of the deity with certainty, The immeasurable palace, the form that represents and is represented, Clearly and vividly appearing, victorious above and below, In the directions, corners, and center, clear outside and clear inside, In between, or also the very nature, in certainty, The body of the Victorious One without clarity or obscurity, likewise without large or small characteristics, The number of verses, one and many, etc., abandon the error of grasping at characteristics. In the absence of certainty, the deity is oneself, not separate, without characteristics, Represented by symbols and the play of dance, appearing as the deity of wisdom illusion, Merely appearing is endless to speak of, therefore the number of verses is miraculous display, The miraculous display is the miraculous display itself. From the utterly uncertain Nature, in suchness, such a form, in oneness, becomes many. There is no negation or affirmation, represented by the mudra of primordial space, all realized, Clearly appearing as many through extreme scattering, universally expanded and gathered into one. This is the essence of illusion. Thus, to determine the three boundaries, The essence of all is the Lama, the many miraculous displays are the Yidam deity, The rare essence of all is the Dakini. To negate mistaken negative thoughts, The King of Means spoke these words: Above the stainless ocean island, the lotus stamen, The lotus vajra power unstained by the womb, the goddess Mandāra (梵文:Mandāra,梵文天城体:मन्दार,梵文罗马拟音:Mandara,汉语字面意思:曼陀罗) who bestows the taste of bliss. Means and wisdom.
