The Secret Instructions of the Vajra Empowerment Treasure. ! The Supreme Samadhi Tantra. Homage to the Bhagavan, the glorious Samantabhadra Vajrasattva, the Great Blissful One. Thus, at one time when it was taught, the Bhagavan, the mindful Samantabhadra, entered into the unwavering Samadhi of Dharmata. All outer and inner phenomena were gathered into the state of equality of Dharmata and remained there. When they were gathered in this way, they did not become any kind of entity. When they did not become any entity, great compassion arose without partiality or bias towards all sentient beings. When great compassion arose, the sign of enlightenment, the Dharmakaya, became white and shimmering like a lunar mandala, as the nature of great compassion. Although it appeared as a lunar mandala, not even a particle moved from the emptiness of meaning. From the realization of nothingness, the wisdom of realization arose. Then, from that very state, Vajrasattva proclaimed the sound called Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 吽). Spontaneous wisdom arose, and he became enlightened in the nature of letters. Since nothing was accomplished in that Suchness, he recited the nature of the three sections, the Great Perfection, by teaching the profound emptiness of Dharma, and became transcendent. From the unwavering great compassion, he benefited with loving Kriya Yoga, reciting the all-pervading compassion. The sun of the Great Perfection of wisdom arose. Then, by showing the letters as seeds, he recited the completeness of all meanings. Just as the appearance of Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 吽) remained unwavering. When it was unwavering, there was nothing that the letters did not accomplish. From the meaning accomplished by the letters, without wavering, the understanding of wisdom became clear through the mudras. But even that did not diminish from the emptiness of the meaning of Dharmata. Just by uttering the word Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 吽), the collection of letter seeds performed each action of karma. The elements were balanced, and each became enlightened in the meaning of their respective karmic actions, as follows: The movement of wind, without wavering, became enlightened as the great elevation. The unchanging sky became enlightened as vast expanse. The gathering of water became enlightened in the center of the womb. The movement of earth became enlightened without corruption. The warmth of fire was balanced, and it became enlightened in the arising of meaning. That too, by throwing the sound into the meaning of Suchness, is a letter.

Like this: E yaṃ maṃ laṃ raṃ. Then, since it is not shaken by the samadhi of Suchness, it is named the Jewel Mount Meru, Hūṃ Hūṃ! Then, when the Dharma-nature is expanded in Suchness, since it completely creates everything, that which pervades itself is called the palace, and named: Bhrūṃ viśva viśuddhe. There, when many collections of samadhi are gathered, it is named adorned, and from nothing at all arise the makara tarana, the pearl rosary, the jewel pendants, the ornaments and rosaries, the gold and jewel nets, the golden bells, and so on. Many of many samadhis of adornment, very few of very few, very great of very great, very small of very small, not wavering in anything, invisibly completely pervading and becoming clear. Clear and everything appearing, but nothing established. From the invisible space, the unwavering wisdom arises outwardly and inwardly, showing the unestablished outward and inward where there is no outward and inward. In that palace, in the center without a center, the adornment without adornment, the sun and moon without sun and moon, in the gap without adorned star holes, it is shown to be all-seeing without being obvious. The palace is not established in anything. The outside surrounded by no inside, in the center without a center, the wheel that does not turn, they all surround everything, showing four uncountable numbers, round and triangular. In the emptiness of Dharma-nature, nothing is moved or shown, but all see and understand. On that wheel is a throne that is not a throne, formless lions, elephants, horses and peacocks, garudas, etc., named with wordless names, appearing as meaningless self-nature. The jewel throne adorned with wisdom is named, the fulfillment that does not fulfill desires, the non-existence of existence, and the great attachment of non-attachment, dwelling on the lotus, the seat of non-dwelling, the existence without sun, moon, and lotus, shown as the great movement that does not move. The dwelling place of non-dwelling, the pavilion and corridor, the square door frame, etc., the seat of lotus, sun, and moon without hardness or softness, and the vajra rock, etc., the seat of non-dwelling, the arrangement without arrangement, appearing invisible and very clearly. Just then, the Dharma-nature.
