At the time when I spoke thus, the Bhagavan Tathagata, the Great Yoga equal to space, the Great Yogini, the Great Devotion, the protector with devotion, the exceedingly well-protecting close female attendant, the Great Near Peace and the maker of Peace, beautiful and possessing color, possessing knowledge and refuge, is as follows: the chief Yoga Wheel, called; the Great Yoga Vajra itself assembled, called; the Great Yoga Equanimity, called; the Great Yoga Empowerment, called; the Yoga exceedingly holding the form of a cross. That is, with the form showing everything, possessing four colors, with the posture of dwelling, possessing five crowns. From the realm of un-obscured, non-obscuring, obscuring without obstruction, un-obscured, in the pure great palace, with the aspect of Great Equality, the Vajra body unhindered, the deeds inconceivable, dwells. Those who are eminent with the gathered substances and mantras, without any immature ones abiding, are the Samantabhadri Yogini and her retinue. Moreover, the great reverence is secret, the great reverence is various fragrances, the great reverence is the controller, named the secret自在者 (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese meaning: གསང་བའི་དབང་པོ།, Guhyādhipati, Guhyadhipati, Secret Lord), as well as the illuminating holder mother, becoming the place of various smells, and the holder of forms that produce various sounds. Then, the Bhagavan, dwelling in the palace of the extremely secret Yogini, rejoiced in the unborn realm, the great assembly of wisdom possessing all circumferences, the mandala like the full moon pervading without beginning or end, possessing all precious jewels, the immeasurable expanse of corners, faces, colors, and shapes, the inconceivable wisdom adorned with attire, embellished with the ornaments of the great wish-fulfilling jewel, holding the lineage of the Buddhas with various distinctions, possessing the four gates of great illusion, the place where the great vehicle of external yogis flows, the extreme of good and evil is extremely secret, located in the center of the great lotus, beautiful with the distinctions of the four colored tongues, the four directions dripping sequentially the attire of three layers becomes the extremely secret mandala. This is the mandala of all the Tathagatas, which extremely eliminates obscurations, that is the first chapter. Then, the Bhagavan entered into the samadhi of great enjoyment, which extremely eliminates suffering, and rejoiced in being able to control extreme attachment with a great smile, a lotus in the extremely secret sky...
