The Great Extensive Jewel Tantra. In Sanskrit: Ratna Pusta Maha Tantra. In Tibetan: The Great Extensive Jewel Tantra. Homage to the Bhagavan Glorious Samantabhadra. At the very moment of this exposition, in the spontaneously arisen, self-perfected palace, the primordial Buddha, the teacher Samantabhadra, said to the non-dual teacher Vajrasattva: All arises from suchness itself; apart from that, there is nothing whatsoever. Suchness has five perfections: the five perfections of the arisen body, the five perfections of the manifesting body, and the perfection of the body that abides after arising. Wisdom perfection also has five aspects: arising, manifesting, and abiding after arising. The perfection that arises in the mind has five aspects: arising in the mind, manifesting, and abiding after arising. The perfection that arises in the intellect also has five aspects: arising in the intellect, manifesting, and abiding after arising. The perfection that arises as rays is: the five perfections of the body arising as rays, the five perfections of wisdom manifesting as rays, the five perfections of mind itself abiding as rays, and the five perfections of intellect itself dawning as rays. The five perfections of the body itself arising as body, the five perfections of the body itself manifesting as wisdom, the five perfections of the body itself abiding in the mind, and the five perfections of the body itself dawning as light. The five perfections of wisdom itself as wisdom, the five perfections of wisdom arising as body, the five perfections of wisdom abiding in the mind, and the five perfections of wisdom dawning as rays. The five perfections of mind itself arising as body, the five perfections of mind itself manifesting as wisdom, the perfection of mind itself abiding in the mind, and the perfection of mind itself dawning as rays. The five perfections of rays themselves arising as body, the five perfections of rays themselves manifesting as wisdom, the perfection of rays themselves abiding in the mind, and the perfection of rays themselves dawning as rays. Time and place and teacher, retinue itself, and wherever all the teachings abide without distinction, arising and after arising

Spreads to all places. Those who dwell in suchness in the very essence, Everything that arises from that is also like that. From the Great Jewel Expansion Sutra, the first chapter, the Perfection of the Introduction. To the Secret Empowerment Vajrasattva of Gathering, To the Teacher of Teachers, Samantabhadra, The abiding mode of the Bhagavan Samantabhadra, The essence of Samantabhadra, The manifestation of Samantabhadra himself, The symbolism of Samantabhadra through examples, The distinctions of the lineages of Samantabhadra, The manifestation of the body of Samantabhadra, The manifestation of the speech of Samantabhadra, What is the manifestation of the mind of Samantabhadra? That Samantabhadra, the Teacher of Teachers, To the Secret Empowerment Vajrasattva of Gathering, The abiding mode of Samantabhadra, which is me, Because the meaning of the Bhagavan, which is me, is great, It is spontaneously accomplished from beginningless and endless nature. Because the three times are without distinction, it is one in the state of essence. Because nature pervades all, everything is Samantabhadra. Because it abides in indivisible equality, it transcends all increase and decrease. The essence of Samantabhadra himself is, It is not accomplished from virtue and non-virtue. It is not caused by the conditions of karma and aspiration. It is spontaneously peaceful, accomplished without composition. The uncontaminated aggregates are the five spontaneously arising wisdoms. It is not existent, it is not non-existent. It is not apparent, it is not empty. Because I myself am not established anywhere, All varieties are that, the very nature of me. The all-arising qualities, the precious body. The Middle Way is not existent in duality. Existent, it is the body of great wisdom. Non-existent, it is the state of pure space. Because it is neither substantial nor insubstantial, The body of self-nature is like an illusion. When looked at, it appears, but when examined, it is empty. Illusion also performs the meaning of illusion. Uncheating, self-appearing That very thing. Emptiness itself signifies the meaning of essence. Because illusion is not truly established, Because of non-existence, cessation is not real. That great non-conceptual wisdom, Relies on the uncontaminated illusory body. Qualities are unceasing, marks and signs appear. Without attachment and without obstruction. Wisdom is clear without end or bottom. Without beginning or middle, the source of all. Understanding all that is without self-nature. Transcending the realm of speech and thought of realization. The Buddha body is the supreme self-arisen. The manifestation of Samantabhadra himself is, Whoever sees me in form
