The Marvelous Mind of Enlightenment Tantra. In Sanskrit: Bodhicitta Ashchagya Tantra. In Tibetan: The Marvelous Mind of Enlightenment Tantra. Homage to the Bhagavan, Glorious Samantabhadra! Thus I have heard, at one time, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, the indivisible essence of all Buddhas, the essence that is not form, the source of all qualities, the king of all knowable things, enjoying the purity of Suchness, the Sambhogakaya of manifest enlightenment, and the root of all emanations, the essence of all pure wisdom, that which is utterly non-dual, the perfectly complete Samantabhadra. The mandala of the retinue of the Bhagavan, the Great Compassionate Bodhisattva, is the pure body of enjoyment, experiencing all dharmas in samadhi, completely experiencing vast enjoyment, endowed with all marks and signs. The manifest enlightenment body is the body that emanates the mandala from the essence, in the mandala of the king of the gods of the desire realm and the king of the gods of the form realm, emanating mandalas of vajras and jewels, and so forth. The emanation body is the continuous turning of the wheel of dharma in all places by skillful means, according to whatever is intended, possessing the conduct of all Buddhas and sentient beings, becoming the basis or essence of both permanence and impermanence, adorned with marks and signs, with a face of complete perfection, speaking all dharmas in accordance with faith and understanding. It will be spoken. That pure body is the mandala of Suchness; if the essence is enlightenment, then it is always non-dual. The king of permanence and impermanence, the Great Compassionate One, is clear when the mandala of wisdom, the basis of immeasurability, the self-arisen adornments and play, and so forth, are arranged to arise naturally. The body of the Greatly Enlightened One is like a full moon in a jewel palace on the summit of Mount Meru, with a face that is exceedingly radiant. The essence of skillful means, the conduct of all things, is spread out on a lotus of the tongue on Vulture Peak Mountain, in the attire of householders and renunciates.
