The nature of power and rays manifests in various ways. Initially, for a long time, the mind of awareness becomes confused. Carrying confusion and bewilderment, awareness completely changes. The discriminating thought of "is" or "is not" arises. Nameless and unlabelled, the mind's desire arises. Universally seeking, determining, deciding, and settling, these are the three cycles. In what way, one does not recognize oneself. Nameless, uncomprehended, profound and bottomless, unresolved. The primordial purity of ignorance, the uncomprehended unborn. Therefore, from the darkness of ignorance. The wheel-door of darkness arises as a condition. Disease, delusion, the form of awareness, the form of habitual patterns. The five clarities of the mind arise. Clarity and immovability are the cause. Unchanging, wavering, and moving. Initially, the mind has five clarities. From the power of the five bases, the five winds arise. From the power of the five elements, the five lights arise. From the power of the five lights, delusion arises as five rays. From the power of the five rays, five kinds of cognition arise. Cognition is correct, understanding the meaning, the five pure ones are liberated. Nameless, bottomless, initially, one is primordially enlightened. As above, having been deluded, the root of delusion is cut off. Samantabhadra, without effort, is primordially enlightened. The sentient beings of the six realms and three worlds of samsara. For example, like water dissolving into the element of wind in the sky. Likewise, the delusion of sentient beings is also. Without a maker, it is deluded by the power of its own nature. Initially, the five lights and five powers are endowed with rays. Emptiness, clarity, unobstructedness, the power arises as the five elements. Recognizing the five bodies, the five wisdoms. From self-nature, essence, and compassion. Not recognizing the five poisons, the five afflictions. Because there are these five, one is deluded into the five poisons. From that, one is deluded into the five elements. From that, one is deluded into the five appearances. From that, it is gathered by the five elements. From that, one is deluded into the five vital organs. From that, one is deluded into the inner impurities. From that, one is deluded into the five senses. Upon that, it relies on breath and the five winds. Thus deluded, one enters the womb-door. With matter, one is deluded into the form of flesh and blood. The father's anger is the cause of flesh and bones. The mother's desire is the gathering of blood and serum. Ignorance, the three poisons, condense into a mass of causes. The nature of awareness and mind is contained in a mass of bindus. From a tiny bindu, the center of existence is formed. After seven days, it gradually increases. Fourteen days, after twenty-one days, limbs begin to form. Forty-nine days

Two is the sum total of one. Thus gradually from nine months and ten days, the suffering of dwelling in the womb is experienced, and the suffering of birth arises. It feels like being squeezed between rocks, it feels like falling into a ravine. It feels like being placed in a thorn pit, sentient beings are born. From that which has no birth and no cessation, and is without interruption, there is delusion as if one sentient being has increased. Afterwards, coming forth from the womb, there is delusion that external objects are the cause. The five faculties and the five gates, there is delusion in the five objects. With the five grasping, there is delusion in the five afflictions. From object, mind, self and other, rejection and establishment, abandonment and taking, through appearance, imputation, grasping, attachment, and hatred, there arises the distinction of enemy and friend, partiality, right and wrong. This becomes the basis for wandering in the three realms of samsara. And the suffering of birth, aging, sickness, and death, and the suffering of appearance, partiality, and factions, and the suffering of the body being sickness, and the suffering of the mind being desire. Fearing to meet enemies, fearing to be separated from loved ones. Transcending the removal of the suffering of sentient beings. Alas, the sentient beings of the three realms and six paths, there is no time to emerge from the mire of conceptual samsara. Alas, the sentient beings liberated from true meaning, due to the power of the five poisons of ignorance, are bewildered by conceptual thought, demons, and self-grasping, wandering in the depths of darkness. They extinguish the lamp they lit themselves. They bind their own necks with themselves. They are placed in the shackles of grasper and grasped. By grasping at self with conceptual thought, they forcefully tie knots in the sky. They place their own feet on their own heads. Fire blazes from themselves, and a great self is born. Bound by knots, they enter the ocean. Entangled in nets, they fall into earthen pits. Alas, the sentient beings of the three realms of samsara, because they have not realized the essence that is without substance and devoid of names, in the illusion of skillful appearances and illusory appearances, they grasp at ultimate truth, and the six paths are deluded. Riding on the wind, they fill the empty realm behind them. Without entrusting work, their own minds wander freely. Because they do not stay at home and have many traveling affairs, they do not realize that they are being carried away by fearful enemies. Alas, seeing the rule that those born must die, they abandon hope for permanence and laziness. Seeing the example of assembly leading to separation, they abandon searching for dear friends and laziness. Seeing the example of accumulation leading to leaving behind, they abandon wealth and so forth and laziness. For the miserly, the heart is never satisfied. For great wealth, there is no power to carry it away. Alas!
