The nature of is clear space. The nature of mind is clear light. The nature of mind is clear energy. The nature of mind is clear rays. The nature of mind is clear play. The nature of mind is clear appearance. The nature of mind is clear five senses. The nature of mind is clear five essences. The nature of mind is clear five limbs. The nature of mind is clear five forms and five objects. The nature of mind is clear eight consciousness aggregates. The nature of mind is clear five senses and five minds. The nature of mind is awareness that liberates objects. That mind is clear and pure in space. Thus it is said. From the Tantra of Blazing Sky. The chapter on the clear nature of mind, the third. Then, the self-arisen purity asked: "O Teacher, who liberates all without name, what qualities does the mind possess?" The Teacher spoke to the assembly: "The teaching of the qualities of the mind is: Just as a wish-fulfilling jewel fulfills all needs and desires, the way the qualities of the mind arise is inconceivable. The types of qualities cannot be exhausted by speaking, but for now, I will explain these qualities in brief: It has the quality of clarifying ignorance into wisdom. It has the quality of transforming the three poisons into the three bodies. It has the quality of transforming the five poisons into the five wisdoms. It has the quality of transforming sentient beings into Buddhas. It has the quality of transforming samsara and nirvana. It has the quality of cutting off the precipice of the six realms. It has the quality of transforming the three realms into pure lands. It has the quality of sweeping away afflictions with a broom. It has the quality of transforming conceptual thoughts into the Dharmakaya. It has the quality of liberating appearances in their own place. It has the quality of causing awareness to self-extinguish. It has the quality of realizing the nameless nature of mind. It has the quality of knowing all that exists. It has the quality of knowing things as they are. It has the quality of knowing all aspects. It has the quality of supreme knowledge. It has the quality of purifying without abandoning its place. It has the quality of accomplishing without cultivation. It has the quality of rescuing from the swamp of samsara. It has the quality of being equal to all like a child. It has the quality of compassionately benefiting all. It has the quality of knowing suffering as happiness. It has the quality of pervading all like the sky. Knowing all without exception to be enlightened is the quality of mind." Thus it is said. From the Blazing Sky

Of the continuum. The fourth chapter, which shows the qualities of the mind. Then, the self-arisen natural purity asked the nameless, universally liberated teacher: How does the activity of the mind work? The teacher said to the retinue: The way the activity of the mind works is inconceivable. For a while, the way the activity works is shown as follows: It performs the activity of dispelling the darkness of ignorance. It performs the activity of dispelling the habits of delusion. It performs the activity of destroying the darkness of obscurations. It performs the activity of liberating the five poisons in their own place. It performs the activity of transforming sentient beings into Buddhas. It performs the activity of cutting off the root of delusion. It performs the activity of liberating the appearance of delusion in its own place. It performs the activity of liberating the reality of appearance. It performs the activity of rescuing from the place of samsara. It performs the activity of turning suffering into happiness. It performs the great activity of knowing that all are Buddhas. This is like pacifying, increasing, subjugating, and wrathful activities. Thus he spoke. From the continuum of the blazing sky. The fifth chapter, which shows the activity of the mind. Then, the self-arisen natural purity asked the nameless, universally liberated teacher: Is this mind originally existent or non-existent? When asked, the teacher said to the retinue: This mind is originally non-existent, but the wind of ignorance causes both samsara and nirvana. For example, clouds in the sky and dirt on a mirror, although non-existent in the base, arise from force. Thus it is said. Then, the retinue asked again: If the mind is originally existent, it would be permanent. If it is originally non-existent, it would be annihilated. How can the extreme of permanence and annihilation be eliminated? After asking the teacher, the teacher said to the retinue: The nature of mind is not established as a form in the base. Therefore, it eliminates the extreme of permanence. Unobstructed in its power, various plays arise. The luminosity of the limbs is self-appearing. Therefore, it eliminates the extreme of annihilation. The nature of mind dissolves its power in the base. Therefore, it eliminates the extreme of neither permanence nor annihilation. Thus he spoke. From the continuum of the blazing sky. The sixth chapter, which shows the non-duality of the existence and non-existence of the mind. Then, the self-arisen natural purity asked the nameless teacher, universally liberated: Is this mind originally a Buddha or not? If it is, how is this mind originally deluded? If it is not, then samsara would become a rootless change. After asking, the teacher said to the retinue: This mind is originally a Buddha, but under the influence of conceptual thought.
