Gyamtsa dral. Without fabrication, without distraction, the sole spontaneously accomplished one is the samaya of Dzogchen. Transgressing it leads to downfall. The secret dharmakaya samaya, devoid of the three times' passing, is such that whatever thoughts or illusions arise, sever them with mindfulness simultaneously. Whatever is realized as phenomena or dharmata, the self-born secret mind is not seen, the meaning of emptiness-awareness is not found, the meaning of clarity-emptiness indivisible is not realized. Guarding and protecting root and branches are the boundaries of other vehicles. The absence of wavering thoughts is the great self-born samaya, free from both addition and subtraction. The mind of the lamp of awareness reveals the essence of wisdom. Completely devoid of number and form, it is the unmade, uncorrupted samaya. The nature of unbornness is the samaya of non-cessation and non-arising, the fruit of samsara will be exhausted. Thus it was said. From the Secret General Tantra, the chapter on explaining the samaya, the twenty-second. Then, Vajrasattva asked the Great Secret Lord: How is the ultimate fruit attained? The Great Secret Lord said: Free from effort, striving, hope, and doubt, it is the spontaneously accomplished fruit. The nature of mind inseparable from the dharmakaya is the essence of all Buddhas, the unobstructed wisdom dharmakaya, the enlightenment of unobstructed space. The unborn, unceasing wisdom mind has neither cause nor effect. The bodhicitta of one root, since the cause itself is self-born and unborn, is only nominally indicated as the fruit. The term 'fruit' is merely a designation; the designation is the signifier, and the meaning of the signifier signifies the designation. The nature of the unborn is the fruit of non-arising and non-ceasing. The blessings of the three kayas, the nine vehicles, mind itself is body, speech, and mind. One body is body, speech, and mind. Nirmāṇakāya is the nature of body, Nirmāṇakāya is the nature of speech, Nirmāṇakāya is the nature of mind. Sambhogakāya is the nature of body, Sambhogakāya is the nature of speech, Sambhogakāya is the nature of mind. Dharmatākāya is the nature of body, Dharmatākāya is the nature of speech, Dharmatākāya is the nature of mind. The dharmakaya is free from addition and subtraction, the great bliss sambhogakāya, those to be tamed.

Six are the six teachers. The teacher who tames is the emanation body. The self-arisen great bliss body. The indivisible essence body. Thus it is said. From the Secret General Tantra, the chapter on showing the fruit, the twenty-third. Then, Vajrasattva asked the Great Secret Lord: This king of tantras, the General Tantra, how is it superior to others? The Great Secret Lord said: It is superior because it is the pinnacle of the vehicle. It is superior because it is the essence of the teachings. It is superior because it is the ultimate intention. It is superior because it is the source of the vehicle. It is superior because it is the ultimate fruit. The teacher, the Great Secret Lord, is the great grandfather of all Buddhas. With the nature of no acceptance or rejection. He is superior to all teachers. It is said that the teacher is manifestly great. Gatherer, Vajrasattva, you. To all Buddhas, sentient beings, and retinues. The Bodhicitta that is without birth or death. Superior to all gatherers. It is said that the retinue is manifestly great. This view of the teacher, the Great Perfection. It is the essence of all dharmas. With the nature of arising from all. Superior to all vehicles. It is said that the teachings are manifestly great. Time is the state of the oneness of the three times. Because time has no before or after. With the nature of abiding as one. Superior to all before and after. It is said that time is manifestly great. The abode of the vast Dharmadhatu Secret Lord. This great place where all are gathered. With the nature of no beginning or end. Superior to all abodes. It is said that the place is manifestly great. It is the lord of all tantras. It is the nature of the Great General Tantra. Superior to all. Thus it is said. From the Secret General Tantra, the chapter on superiority, the twenty-fourth. Then, Vajrasattva asked the Great Secret Lord: This king of tantras, how should one hold its name? After asking, the Great Secret Lord told Vajrasattva this method of holding the name of the tantra and the method of entrusting it. The vast tantra like the sky. The clear tantra like the sun and moon. The profound tantra like the ocean. The tantra that arises from all, like the earth. The tantra that is the source of qualities, like a jewel. This vast and great meaning of words. Clear and without

Without location, extremely subtle and immeasurable in depth, without origin or direction, without desires arising or hopes. I show and entrust this to you, abandoning cessation, practice, and progression, without subject or object, acceptance or rejection, without view, conduct, effort, or accomplishment, not adorned by paths or remedies. In the nature of Bodhicitta, secret lord, this meaning that I have taught is the great instruction of the Bodhisattva, the pinnacle of tantras and sutras, the root of all oral instructions, the essence of all teachings, the quintessence of all vehicles, the dispeller of the darkness of ignorance and delusion, it dispels the net of confusion and discrimination, it cuts the rope of afflictions, this is the secret general tantra entrusted to those who proclaim this Dharma. Whenever, at the end of time, this lamp of clear light will illuminate. Thus it was said. From the Secret General Tantra: The method of holding the name, the twenty-fifth chapter, the chapter of entrustment. The Secret General Tantra is complete.
