The Tantra of the Great Secret Mantra Called "The Gathering of the Intentions of Manjushri." In Sanskrit: Manjushri Ashaya Samudaya Mahamantra Tantra Nama. In Tibetan: The Tantra of the Great Secret Mantra Called "The Gathering of the Intentions of Manjushri." Homage to the Bhagavan Vajrasattva! Thus have I heard. Once, on the summit of a burning fire mountain, in a place adorned with hard mukha and so forth, on a seat of lotus color blazing everywhere, Vajrasattva, whose body, speech, and mind had become the very nature of Manjushri, was dwelling. He was surrounded by those who hold the vajra, dakinis, and so forth, beings of the world and beyond the world. Abiding in a single manner, they were assembled as two retinues for the purpose of gathering with definitive meaning and for the purpose of proclaiming definitive meaning. Then, Vajrapani, knowing the thoughts of those assembled, together with those who bowed, prostrated to the Fully Awakened One. Having joined his palms, he sat before him and spoke thus: "Perfect Buddha, Bhagavan, teacher and guide of beings, know the great samaya itself. O Supreme Knower of faculties and thoughts, the wisdom body of the Bhagavan, the great crown jewel, lord of speech, the wisdom body, the self-born one, the name of Manjushri Wisdom Bodhisattva is the supreme of correct expression. The meaning is profound, the meaning is vast, the great meaning is incomparable and utterly peaceful, good in the beginning, good in the middle, and good in the end. What is it that is sung by the past, the future, and the present? Please speak of the meaning of the Gathering of Intentions. So that I may become a holder of secrets, until the time of definite emergence, I will hold this with steadfast thought. For the sake of eliminating all afflictions and for the sake of abandoning all ignorance, please explain it to sentient beings." Having requested thus, the Bhagavan Vajrasattva opened the secret treasury of the essence of his mind, sealed the vase of wisdom wind, from the tip of his tongue radiated the light of speech, extended long and wide, illuminating the world, illuminating the three realms, subduing the enemies of the four maras, showing a smile that purifies the three lower realms of sentient beings, with the sweet voice of Brahma, he spoke thus to Vajradhara: "The Manjushri Wisdom Bodhisattva's

། །Name is the supreme of true expression, it purifies and eliminates sins. The meaning of its intent is gathered. Those who strive to listen from me, well done, glorious Vajradhara. I have explained the intent of Manjushri. Thus it was said. From the Gathering of Manjushri's Intent, the chapter on the basis of discussion and names is the first. Then the Teacher spoke, Vajradhara, listen well. Outer and inner mantras, the two stages of generation and completion, arise and gather in the very utterance of names. Herein lies the gathering of its intent. The five fruits of secret mantra, the path. The essence of the three kayas and five wisdoms. Without knowing the self-perfected from the beginning, creating syllables from individual limbs. By being attached to the characteristics of phenomena, the supreme and true path is not generated. That also, in the world with outflows, shows the meaning of the spontaneously accomplished body. The Dharmakaya is insubstantial, empty and clear. No impurities remain, completely pure. Its characteristics are five aspects: emptiness, immutability, the arising of qualities. From the unimpeded exertion of power, comes samadhi awareness and tantric awareness. Samadhi embodied is the best of bodies. The five wisdom awareness bodies are clear. For those to be tamed, there are two types. Without moving from one, two bodies appear. Not abiding separately, in the nature of one. Each self-awareness is unmoving. The first of the supreme holds the three kayas. Holding the manner of non-dual wisdom. Spontaneously accomplished, without conceptualization. For those tamed by peaceful means, in the vast expanse of the wisdom vase. Possessing the nature of the five wisdoms. It is the wisdom body, self-born. Great Buddha Vairochana. Possessing five faces and five topknots. The light of wisdom is bright and clear. Great light manifests in various ways. Great splendor, beautiful to behold. Holding the thirty-two marks. Light of various colors blazing. Perfect Buddha in vajra posture. Sixteen and a half with bindus. The great mandala is vast. Five aggregates of wisdom radiance. The essence of five has ten names. Holding the lord of the five Buddha bodies. Clear in the stainless pure sky. Although face and mirror are simultaneous. Because impurities and dirt are not cleansed. The appearance of the face cannot be clear. When the mirror is free from dirt. The impurities of the face are clearly pure. Although the nature of reality and awareness are not separate. There are subtle and gross elements. Three aspects of subtle and gross mind and thought. Cutting off, the body
