By knowing the arising and turning it back into wisdom, one recognizes one's own light and merges into the five own lights, so there is no need to purify karma and habitual patterns. If one recognizes one's own light, then the ripening of karma cannot obscure it, and there is no good or bad karma. Because one recognizes one's own light, there is no good or bad in karma, so for the mind that understands the ten virtuous actions and the five heinous crimes, the nature is equal. O Secret Lord, this great meaning cannot be shown even by the past and the future. There is nothing to meditate on in that great meaning. It is enough to recognize that great meaning of no meditation. O Great Vajra Holder, because you do not recognize the great meaning of no meditation, you desire to become a Buddha. The Sugatas of the three times said, "Knock your head," because the light of the Buddha does not change. Then the Lord of Secrets again asked, "O O Buddha, heap of light, please speak of the manner in which the Buddha arises." Then the great heap of the Buddha's light of liberation spoke thus: "O Secret Lord, listen. Those who recognize the own light of their own awareness are liberated into form and wisdom. Those who do not recognize the own light of awareness are confused into body and habitual patterns. Whether one recognizes or does not recognize one's own light, for all sentient beings, the appearance of confusion ceases, and the appearance of purity arises for five days. If one recognizes it, one merges inseparably with the appearance of self-purity and becomes a Buddha. This is becoming a Buddha through the door of the essential points of the instructions. Although the appearance of purity arises again and again for all sentient beings, because they do not recognize themselves, they are confused into body and habitual patterns. Recognizing the great clear light of the own radiance of awareness is the secret path of Buddha Vajrasattva. It is enough to recognize it. Recognize that great meaning," he said. The intention of all the Buddhas, from the Three Words Sutra, is the chapter that shows the secret path of Vajrasattva, which is the first. Then the Lord of Secrets again asked, "O O Sugata, heap of light, please speak of the three aspects of the bardo and the state of the channels." Then the Bhagavan, the great heap of light, spoke thus: "O Secret Lord, there are three aspects to the bardo."

Now, there are three types of bardos: the present, the moment of death, and the dharmata bardo. The present is the natural bardo. The bardo of suffering at the moment of death is the bardo of the cessation of illusion. The dharmata bardo is the bardo where, after the cessation of illusion, pure appearances arise, and thus wisdom arises. It is sufficient to recognize the bardo where wisdom arises. Thus he spoke. Then the Lord of Secrets asked: Kye Kye! Please, great Buddha of Light, the embodiment of liberation, speak of the three instructions. The Buddha of Light said: Kye, great Vajra Holder, there are three instructions for the three bardos. The instruction for the present is like a welcoming party. The instruction for the moment of death is like a repelling force. The instruction for the bardo is like arriving in one's own country and entering a strong fortress. Thus he spoke. Then again the Lord of Secrets asked: Kye Bhagavan, please speak of the instruction for the present, which is like a welcoming party, and the three views. The Bhagavan said: There are three aspects to a welcoming party. These are example, meaning, and sign. Then again the Lord of Secrets asked: Kye Kye! Bhagavan, Please explain the introduction to the example. The Bhagavan said: Lord of Secrets, there are three aspects to the introduction to the example. These are crystal, the sun, and a reflection. Thus he spoke. The Lord of Secrets asked: Bhagavan, please explain the introduction to the sign. The Bhagavan said: There are three aspects to the introduction to the sign. The sign of the Dharmakaya residing in the center of one's heart is one's own eye. The sign of the Sambhogakaya residing within the heart is the appearance of the Buddha-field when looking into the mirror of Vajrasattva. The sign of the Nirmanakaya is that these illusory appearances appear as pure appearances. Kye, great Vajra Holder, the sign of the Dharmakaya is just like that, one's own awareness is uninterrupted, and this very thing is 'wal le'. The sign of the Sambhogakaya is that one opens one's eyes wide and clearly on the surface of the mirror, and without distraction, looks at the sky in front, and in the sky in front appears the Sambhogakaya with a mouth, eyes, and ears. The sign of the Nirmanakaya is one's own.
