Sa! Merely practicing, the five elements naturally dissolve, attaining the light. Through emptiness devoid of action and effort, one attains the light symbolizing the three bodies. Through the emptiness of the exhausted elements, one attains the light of stable yoga. Through the emptiness of abiding continuously in samadhi, one attains the light of naturally clear abiding. Through the emptiness that does not abide in the extremes of permanence and annihilation, one attains the light of self-awareness free from obscurations. Having spoken these secret words, he then spoke to the Lord of Secrets as follows: Hey, Lord of Secrets! By recognizing clarity as awareness, clarity itself dawns as the self-appearance that distinguishes all extremes, the white self-arisen that transcends all stains, the yellow self-arisen that perfects all qualities, the red self-arisen that abides without seeking, the green self-arisen that perfects all activities, the unchanging and pervasive dark blue self-arisen. Lord of Secrets, Great Vajradhara! Seeing the clarity of the body as immaculate awareness, seeing the clarity of the bindu as the single awareness, seeing the clarity of wisdom as primordial pure awareness, seeing the clarity of the space as the self-abode of awareness, seeing the clarity of the lamp as the self-face of awareness, seeing the clarity of the five lights as the colors of awareness, seeing the clarity of appearances as the nature of awareness, knowing the clarity of wisdom as the way of abiding of awareness. Having spoken thus, he again spoke to the Lord of Secrets as follows: Hey, Lord of Secrets, you! Listen without your mind wandering elsewhere! By introducing awareness to the dharmadhatu, awareness itself becomes the nature of all objects, and that is called enjoying all places, I have taught in the words of the Vajra Essence. Therefore, first, by being skilled in the object of the appearance of awareness, it is called closing the door of all memories, and that itself is the key to liberation by that, because the ground is completely pure, the path dawns manifestly, and it is called being skilled in the meaning of the deeds of all Buddhas, it is self-arisen, therefore awareness itself becomes the teaching of all teachings. Hey, Lord of Secrets, listen! Through the awareness abiding in the ground, one meets the dharmadhatu where the nature of reality gathers. Through the awareness that grasps characteristics, one meets the utterly pure dharmadhatu. Through the continuous awareness, one meets the dharmadhatu of the light of self-nature. Thus, the secret words are self-arisen. Then

Then Vajrapani said, "O Bhagavan, how should I teach these meanings in brief to one person?" The Teacher himself spoke to me. Then the great Vajradhara spoke these words: "Emaho! All appearances are introduced as mind, therefore the mind is subdued. The mind is introduced as emptiness, therefore blissfully seal in emptiness. Emptiness is introduced as awareness, therefore awareness itself is inseparable from the dharmadhatu and wisdom." Therefore, Illusions are introduced as the Nirmanakaya, therefore this appearance is determined. Doubts are introduced as the Sambhogakaya, Therefore the appearance of the bardo is determined. Dharmata is introduced as the Dharmakaya, therefore the appearance of the dharmata's originally pure nature is determined. Thus, by recognizing the Nirmanakaya, the attachment to body and speech, one should engage in action that is free from effort, and by restraining the key points of the body, one becomes skilled in the preliminary activities. Thus, by recognizing the Sambhogakaya, one becomes skilled in the three aspects of the external environment: space, portals, and the essence of awareness, and thereby relies on the lineage of experience. By recognizing the Dharmakaya, awareness itself is measured, thereby making the bindu (藏文:ལུ་གུ་རྒྱུད།,梵文天城体:बिन्दु,梵文罗马拟音:bindu,汉语字面意思:明点) visibly manifest. Emaho! Who clings to space and awareness? This knows the original state and destination of oneself. Who uses the suchness of the eye in the eye consciousness itself? This determines the pure land. Who is accustomed to the vajra bindu of awareness itself? This spontaneously places the self-born aggregates in their own place without remainder. Who abides in its limit? All dharmata is the place of exhaustion." This is the third chapter, which teaches the introduction to external objects, from the Great Tantra of the Adornment of Precious Introduction. When the Bhagavan had spoken thus, the retinue, headed by the Lord of Secrets, rejoiced and praised the words of the Bhagavan. This concludes the Secret Introduction, the Tantra of Precious Adornment, which is the essence extracted from the sixty-four hundred thousand tantras of the Great Perfection of Naturalness. Translated by the Indian Abbot Vimala and the Tibetan translator Kawa Paltseg (8th century CE).
