有人请问：“这部续的名字应该如何称呼？” 世尊对眷属们开示说： 精华明点积聚故，名为明点智慧积聚续。 为除无明黑暗故，名为积聚明灯续。 为除障蔽习气故，名为明灯燃续。 为从九乘中超胜故，名为九顶总持之乘。 为示显明光光明故，名为明灯显遍续。 为摄集精华明点义故，名为极密精华汇聚续。 如是宣说。 《明灯燃续》中，指示名称品第十六。 之后，格萨达仁钦问道：“这部续应该交付给什么样的人？” 世尊开示交付的对象说： 若具业缘与福分，种姓优良智且广，守护誓言重律仪，不贪果报舍慷慨，恭敬谨慎能保密，正直忠诚堪信赖，如是之人可付续。 譬如狮乳甚珍贵，唯以金器作盛器，若以劣质凡器盛，器亦损毁乳亦漏。 是故明点精华聚，若托劣器诸人等，正法衰败罪愆生。 如是宣说。 《明点智慧积聚明灯光燃续》中，指示交付对象品第十七。 《明点智慧积聚明灯光燃续》圆满。 邬金莲花生大士和译师噶瓦贝则翻译后，献给国王赤松德赞。 宝印。封印。交付印。

Someone asked: "How should the name of this tantra be held?" The Blessed One spoke to the assembly: Because it accumulates the essence of bindu, it is called the Tantra of Accumulating Wisdom Bindu. To dispel the darkness of ignorance, it is called the Tantra of the Accumulating Lamp. Because it dispels obscurations and habitual patterns, it is called the Tantra of the Burning Lamp. Because it surpasses the nine vehicles, it is called the Vehicle of the Nine Peaks of Supreme Sovereignty. Because it shows clear appearance and clear light, it is called the Tantra of the Lamp's Clear Pervasion. Because it gathers the meaning of the essence of bindu, it is called the Tantra of the Gathering of the Secret Essence. Thus he spoke. From the Tantra of the Burning Lamp, the Sixteenth Chapter: Indicating the Name. Then, Gelsak Rinchen asked: "To what kind of person should this tantra be entrusted?" The Blessed One indicated the place of entrustment: One who has karmic connections and fortune, is of good lineage, intelligent and broad-minded, protects vows and upholds discipline, does not crave results, is generous, respectful, discreet, honest, and reliable—to such a one this tantra should be entrusted. For example, lion's milk is precious; it should be poured into a precious golden vessel. If it is poured into an inferior, ordinary vessel, the vessel will break and the essence will be lost. Likewise, if the accumulation of bindu essence is entrusted to inferior vessels, such as ordinary people, the Dharma will decline and transgressions will arise. Thus he spoke. From the Tantra of the Bindu of Wisdom, Accumulating Lamp, Burning Light, the Seventeenth Chapter: Indicating the Place of Entrustment.
