When the teachings arise, when the Dharma wheel is not respected and the laws of the kingdom are broken, when the Indians from the borderlands with different languages, like bubbles in water or birds in the sky, fill the land of Tibet in great numbers. Even the Indians from the borderlands with different languages will regard the sacred Dharma as wish-fulfilling nectar. Relying on it, they will commit evil deeds, memorize beautiful words, and write them down. For the sake of Tibetan gold, they will use it as merchandise. Even the translators who engage in Dharma activities will not awaken to the earth and the perfections. They will not understand the language of the Dharma, only some colloquial language. Just by knowing some colloquial language, they will become translators. The sacred Dharma will be adulterated like milk during trade. At that time, my lineage will appear. When stupas are pierced by arrows, when monasteries are surrounded by war, when kings become beggars, when ministers become shepherds, when the Tibetan people are scattered, when noble people indulge in poison, when Hinayana monks abandon their vows, when monks become merchants, when swords are hidden under Dharma robes, when monks establish households, when nuns raise young children, at that time, the five classes of those who cut through elaboration will appear. When those who are neither monks nor laypeople wear black clothes, when the edges of hats are reinforced with cloth and iron rings, when shoes are made with Yure cloth, at that time, the five classes of those who cut through elaboration will appear. Sons will not listen to their fathers, and people will live by deception. The earth will not produce gold, it will be impossible to protect wealth entrusted by life, it will be impossible to protect the blessings of the Sugatas, and it will be impossible to protect the treasures entrusted by the Dakinis. When monks shoot arrows or the flames of debate spread, at that time, common yoga will appear. Controlled by the five poisons of affliction, Dharma and mind will not be integrated, views will be biased, clinging will not be relinquished, and without abandoning the five attachments, they will say that they are now Buddhas.
