Similar. Cutting off the root of self-grasping from its very base, like cutting off a tree from its roots. The mind is the eight collections of consciousness, like the miracles of unobstructed space. Mind-essence is beyond words and thoughts, like flawless, pure space. Ignorance is the grasping consciousness, like a blind person who grasps without seeing. Wisdom is a clear and pure mirror, like the sun rising in the sky. The mind can transform into both samsara and nirvana, like a white cloth without stains. Habitual tendencies are the seeds of samsara, like unseen harm, ghosts, and thieves. Dualistic grasping is the delusion of samsara, like mistaking a post for a person. Liberation from that is nirvana, like ice melting into water. Recognizing the one who sees, sectarian attachments vanish, like rootless space. Recognizing the meditator, liberation occurs in one's own nature, like a bubble dissolving into water. Recognizing the practitioner, signs dissolve, like a dancer in his own play. Recognizing the accomplisher, there is no gathering or separation, like a widow and her son's wife. Recognizing the result, hope and fear are cut off, like a king who has obtained his kingdom. Thus, all teachings, appearing as nothing, are liberated in their own nature. Since there is no object not realized from the expanse, the characteristics of things are pure from the very beginning. All dharmas are imputed names, truth and falsehood, love and hate, are pure from the very beginning. From seeing one's own face, there is no looking, straying, or confusion, pure from the very beginning. From seeing the nature of mind, there is no meditation, sinking or excitement, habitual tendencies are pure from the very beginning. From the liberation of self-appearance, there is no action, the duality of agent and object is pure from the very beginning. In the realization of unbornness, there is no empowerment, empowerment and stages are pure from the very beginning. In the absence of effort, there are no paths or bhumis, the five paths and ten bhumis are pure from the very beginning. In abiding in the essence, there are no vows, the signs of keeping and breaking are pure from the very beginning. The three kayas maturing in the ground have no result, hope and fear, wishes and attainments are pure from the very beginning. By recognizing one's own face, there is no becoming a Buddha, the terms of birth and death are pure from the very beginning. In the realization of the Spyi ti, there is nothing, it is not nothing, everything is complete. It is neither existent nor non-existent, neither one nor different. Completely liberated from the bonds of the four extremes. Thus it is said. From the tantra, the precious essence of nectar, the collected intention of all the Buddhas, the twelfth chapter, which dispels general obstacles and repeats the distinctions. Then, the youth Kunrig asked the teacher, the Lord of Secrets, "In this supreme Spyi ti mind-essence, how are the intentions of the dharmas?"

Thus assembled. Having asked thus, the Secret Lord Teacher declared: In this supreme compendium (spyi ti, Sanskrit: samhita, Romanized Sanskrit: samhita, literal meaning: collection) of mine, listen to how all dharmas are assembled. All phenomena of existence, samsara, and nirvana are assembled within the nature of bodhicitta. All the sufferings of illusory samsara are assembled within the two, ignorance and grasping. All wrong views are assembled within the two, permanence and annihilation. The intention of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers is assembled in accomplishing liberation alone. The intention of the Great Vehicle of cause is assembled in the practice of selfless other-benefit. The general intention of the Great Vehicle is assembled in great wisdom and compassion. The samadhis of the Bodhisattvas are assembled in the absence of inherent existence in appearances. The intention of the Nirmanakaya Buddhas is assembled in the arising of all desires from nothingness. The essence of all teachings is assembled in this self-aware wisdom. All external objects are assembled in the unconditioned dharmadhatu. All external and internal containers and contents are assembled in the all-pervading space of essence. All the intentions of inner and outer secret mantras are assembled in the liberation from attachment to containers and contents. Especially, all the intentions of appearances are assembled in the liberation from the dualistic grasping of acceptance and rejection. All bodies and wisdoms are assembled in this self-aware clarity and purity. The general nature of all dharmas is assembled in emptiness, peace, and freedom from self. All authentic definitive instructions are assembled in the state of clarity and non-distraction. The eighty-four thousand afflictions are assembled in the single root of self-grasping. The immeasurable methods of taming beings are assembled in completely cutting off self-grasping at its root. Although the methods of cutting off are inconceivable, when summarized, they are assembled in the nine successive vehicles. Although the intentions of the nine vehicles are many, the supreme is assembled in the Great Perfection. The teachings of the Dharmakaya, the Great Perfection, are taught to be assembled within the three classes: Mind Class, Space Class, and Instruction Class. Among these, the Great Perfection Mind Class is taught as the fundamental transference of the blade. The Great Perfection of the Space Class is taught as the primordial liberation of the result. The Great Perfection of the Instruction Class is taught as the three paths being distinct. The essence of all these is assembled in this ten-million compendium, repeatedly taught in all the dharmas of the vehicles. There is no limit to the aspect of increase, no limit to the aspect of two, and no limit to the aspect of non-duality. Unborn, primordially pure, liberated from extremes. Thus it was said. Precious.
