The state of the ground is such that the primordial wisdom is unpredicted, habits are unaccumulated, and bodies are untaken. It is the basis of all ignorance in both samsara and nirvana. An example is shown to represent it, like pressed yogurt. It is also said that the state of the holy ground is like the sky and the rainbow. That great Dharma-nature sky is self-arisen without being made. The initial five forms of the rainbow are self-clear without being drawn. Again, it was asked, "How does that state of the holy ground abide in the form of letters?" Having asked this, it was said again, "The state of the holy ground is in the bindu, the seed of the three kayas, and abides in the form of the three syllables of letters. The three letters without support are A(藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿), Nga(藏文:ང,梵文天城体:अं,梵文罗马拟音:aṃ,汉语字面意思:让), and Ha(藏文:ཧ,梵文天城体:ह,梵文罗马拟音:ha,汉语字面意思:哈). They are the basis of all faults and virtues, and abide as the basis of all ignorance and wisdom. They are the great self-arisen without being made." Thus it was said. Abiding like the center of the sun. From the Tantra of the Burning Jewel Lamp, the eleventh chapter, which shows the state of the ground. Then, the chief of the lineage, the great Bodhisattva, asked: "O Holy Primordial Buddha! How do the sentient beings abiding in the six realms err? Please show it to us." Having asked this, the Holy Primordial Buddha said: "Chief of the lineage, great Bodhisattva, listen! The way the sentient beings abiding in the six realms initially err is: initially, they err due to conditions, they err by erring spontaneously without conditions, and they err by appearing as if there are conditions without conditions. Initially, erring due to conditions is: erring due to the condition of the cause, the condition of the lord, the condition of the object, and the immediately preceding condition. They err due to the four conditions of internal and external conceptualization." Thus it was said. From the Tantra of the Burning Jewel Lamp, the twelfth chapter, which briefly shows the error of sentient beings. The chief of the lineage, the great Bodhisattva, asked: "O Holy Primordial Buddha! What is the way of erring, the spontaneous error without conditions, of the initial error of sentient beings? Please show it to us."
