The Tantra of Great Perfection, Samantabhadra, Revealing the Clear Wisdom. In Sanskrit: Maha Santi Samanta Bhadra Jnana Prakata Shastru Tantra Nama. In Tibetan: The Tantra of Great Perfection, Samantabhadra, Revealing the Clear Wisdom. Homage to the Bhagavan, Glorious Samantabhadra, the Dharmakaya of Equality. Thus have I heard at one time. The Bhagavan, Glorious Samantabhadra, Lord of Supreme Secrets, the very essence of the three times, the nature of the three kayas, the possessor of the five wisdoms, the master of playful miracles, resided in the miracle of meaning, the unborn nature of reality, from which the signs of wisdom are unceasing. That is, in the supreme secret mandala of Akanishta. A great place where all the Buddhas of the three times have gone and reside, and will reside. Their forms and colors are different, but their essence is one. From that realm, in the palace of clear wisdom, in that great expanse, the retinue of Vajradhara, Chakradhara, Ratnadhara, Padmadhara, and Vishvavajradhara, and so on, were present like sesame seeds spread out. At that time, at that moment, Vajradhara, as the questioner of all the Buddhas, was commanded and remained in one place. From the Tantra of Great Perfection, Samantabhadra, Revealing the Clear Wisdom, the first chapter, the introduction, is complete. Then, the Bhagavan, Glorious Lord of Supreme Secrets, the Lord of the three times, samsara, and nirvana, seeing all dharmas with miraculous power, saw them completely. Having seen them in that way, all dharmas are the characteristic of bodhicitta, the nature of great clear emptiness, the Suchness beyond words and thoughts, and remained in the samadhi of Thatness. Then, Vajradhara arose from his seat and said this: O, O, Bhagavan, Lord of Supreme Secrets, the meaning of revealing clear wisdom, the essence of great clear emptiness, please explain it to us in order. Having asked thus, the Bhagavan, Glorious Samantabhadra, spoke to the Lord of Supreme Secrets: Listen, Vajradhara, you, listen respectfully and

Homage. The clarity of Dharmata wisdom, the root of all samsara and nirvana, is the nature of Bodhicitta. If one realizes the meaning of this root, the view is the mind itself, like the sky. Meditation is the mind itself, clear without object, conduct is the mind itself, as deep as the ocean. The result is the mind itself, the essence of body and wisdom. If one does not realize this, samsara appears. Thus it is said. From the Tantra of Kuntuzangpo Showing the Clarity of Wisdom, the chapter of Questions and Answers, the second chapter is complete. Then, the Bhagavan, glorious Kuntuzangpo, spoke to the Buddhas of the five families, including Vajradhara: From the realization and non-realization of mind itself, comes samsara and nirvana. The ground is empty and clear, without name, nowhere established, like a camphor ball. From the nature of equality itself, by the liberation of characteristics in their own place, emptiness and clarity are completely enlightened, abiding in the pure lands of the three bodies. For the non-realized, it is the wisdom of delusion, from the house of light of the Alaya, the delusion of ignorance, arises the stream of subtle thoughts, the moving thought arises with self-grasping, from self-grasping one wanders in samsara. From the Dharmata without name, arise two doors of appearance. That is also ignorance and wisdom, ignorance and wisdom are not different, only the aspect of separation. For the non-realized, there is only one path; for the realized, it is the path of great Bodhi. Thus it is said. From the Tantra of Kuntuzangpo Showing the Clarity of Wisdom, the chapter of Showing the Manner of Separating Samsara and Nirvana, the third chapter is complete. Then, Vajradhara asked: In the meaning of what is said, from the ground of the nameless, arise two doors of appearance, the nature of the ground and delusion, from the ground is delusion established or not? What kind of metaphor can be used to compare? How is delusion cut off from the root? Kuntuzangpo himself answered: The ground is definitely the Dharmakaya, delusion is the accidental conceptual thought. Therefore, delusion on the ground, is not originally established, it is accidental. The ground is the stream of awareness, delusion appears as fragments of conceptual thought. For example, like a mirage and a fire wheel, like seeing a snake in water, seeing a human as non-human. Cutting off the root of delusion, is through the sequence of view, meditation, and action, delusion is reversed, and the result is the three bodies and five wisdoms.
