The Tenth Chapter. Vajrasattva again asked: Bhagavan Great Bliss Samantabhadra, Please explain the self-arisen wisdom. Samantabhadra said: Listen, assembly gathered around me. The wisdom of the lord of the assembly is, The wisdom that relies on objects. Whoever discriminates objects, That is discriminating wisdom. The object to be discriminated, Because it arises from bodhicitta, That is objectless bodhicitta. The wisdom that discriminates objects, Because it arises from objects, it is not self-arisen. It does not manifest when it is merely objectless. What is called self-arisen wisdom, Is wisdom that is known from the beginning. Self-arisen wisdom is known from the beginning, Therefore it is self-arisen wisdom. Because it is known from the beginning, it is wisdom, Wisdom is thus designated. Because wisdom arises from itself, Therefore, one does not meditate on it. Because one does not meditate on it, The habit of meditation will not accumulate. The nature of reality without habit, Is said to be the intention of the Buddhas of the three times. All the Buddhas of the three times, Do not discriminate the object of intention, They abide in equality from the beginning. In the mind of the self-arisen wisdom, Of all the Buddhas of the three times, Because there is no discrimination from the beginning, The Buddhas do not make an effort, The object of discrimination is separate from all. Self-arisen wisdom, the Buddhas make an effort, Self-arisen wisdom does not discriminate objects, It will not be stained by the habit of discriminating discrimination. Karma is the habit of discriminating meditation. When there is no discrimination, It is not said that habit is completely present. Non-discrimination is the five self-arisen wisdoms, Which are said to be the five sense doors of the nature of mind. Self-arisen wisdom has no obstruction, The nature of bodhicitta is all-appearing, Self-arisen wisdom is clear and distinct without interruption. One does not abandon what appears due to one's own causes, One does not accumulate the habit of meditation without discrimination. This is the intention of the Buddhas of the three times, Whoever abides in non-discrimination, Does not abide on the ground, does not abide for the benefit of beings. This abides in the dharmakaya bodhicitta, It gathers all the intentions of the Buddhas of the three times. Please realize it directly through the experience of awareness. Self-arisen wisdom empowers objects, It is not desiring the five objects of the five wisdoms, For those who desire objects

Appears to the five wisdoms. Because that place is originally wisdom. I have not shown the realm and wisdom as two. Therefore, realm 125.5 is also said to be self-born wisdom. For the self-born wisdom that has nothing. I am the teacher of the retinue born from me. Relying on the realm, the name of wisdom is established. Various kinds of wisdom arise, with one wisdom established in various ways 125.6. Realm one, the nature appears differently. For those with realms, the name of realm is established. Therefore, it is not certain, it is established by the false. Thus it is said. Vajrasattva 127127.1༄༅། །That. It will be obtained without desire. As it is, without modification, it is the common intention of all Buddhas. Apart from great bliss, where is there desire and attachment? For those without attachment 127.2, that is the supreme holder of samadhi. Because all holding has already been accomplished from the beginning. Abandoning and abiding, the king of non-conceptual accomplishment. Thus it is said. In the Vajrasattva Great Sky Wide Brahmin Tantra 127.3, the twelfth chapter is the chapter of effortless spontaneous accomplishment. Vajrasattva again asked: Bhagavan Great Bliss Samantabhadra. What is desireless, unmoving, and effortless? Samantabhadra taught 127.4: Listen to my assembled retinue. The nature of reality has never changed. Not even a mote is moved by change. Bliss and suffering, enlightenment are one. Buddha and sentient beings, the mind is one. Appearance and existence, vessel 127.5 and essence, the nature of reality is one. Truth and falsehood are also equal in nature. Attachment to bliss is suffering. Abiding in one's own nature, everything is accomplished. That which is all clear is without thought, that is self-born wisdom 127.6. Wisdom does not accumulate habits, how can it be stained by karma? Meditating on various things, one is not clear. Whatever clear samadhi is practiced, there is no samadhi in it. In suchness 129129.1༄༅། །Awareness is clear without thought or words. Awareness is clear without grasping or concept. It is clear in an unmoving and equal state. Awareness is clear without any placement. It is clear, free from the extremes of action. Aware129.2ness is clear as the great self-nature. It is clear, transcending effort and action. Awareness is clear, unblocked and direct. It is clear in a non-conceptual and equal state. Awareness is clear, without grasping or carelessness. It is clear, non-conceptual and free from elaboration 129.3. Awareness is clear, without thought or deliberation.

Thoughts are clear without any wavering, awareness is clear without any reliance, mind does not engage in anything, awareness is clear without any grasping, awareness is clear without interruption, awareness is clear without falling into any extreme, awareness is clear in connection with everything, everything is clear as the basis of all. Thus it is said. The fourteenth chapter, Self-Illuminating Awareness, from the Vajrasattva Great Space Brahmin Scripture. Vajrasattva asked again: Bhagavan, Great Bliss, Samantabhadra, how does one abide in equipoise? Samantabhadra replied: Listen, assembly gathered around me, Samantabhadra is unfixed, like space, abide in the state of impermanent clarity, do not block the five senses, abide in their own place, do not seek, abide in the great self-nature, abide in the unwavering state of equanimity, abide without conceptualization, free from elaboration, abide without grasping onto anything, do not reject appearances, abide as they are, abide in the state of non-conceptual clarity, abide in the state of non-duality and equanimity, release body, speech, and mind and abide, thus, without fabrication, abide in your own place, abide without attachment, free from clinging, abide without engaging the mind in anything, abide without thinking or contemplating. Thus it is said. The fifteenth chapter, Non-Conceptual Equipoise, from the Vajrasattva Great Space Brahmin Scripture. Then, Samantabhadra gathered the retinue of Vajrasattva and others, and explained the meaning of the tantra. The root of all the Tathagatas of the ten directions and three times, and of all sentient beings of the three realms, is the self-arisen wisdom of the mind of Samantabhadra. The self-arisen wisdom of the mind is the vast Brahmin itself. This tantra is Samantabhadra himself. It is one's own bodhicitta. It is the body, speech, and mind of all Buddhas. To hold this tantra is to be a Buddha himself. Because all become Buddhas, samsara is primordially pure. The one who holds this is Samantabhadra. Because all is self-arisen wisdom. Just as in the precious golden continent, stones and earth are not visible, samsara is
