Translated by the Tibetan translator Vairochana. In Sanskrit: Sarvadharma Mahashanti Bodhichitta Samsara Mulachhedana Surya Chandra Sama Mala Tantra. In Tibetan: The Tantra of All Dharmas, the Great Perfection of Bodhichitta, Cutting the Root of Samsara, Equal to the Sun and Moon, Without Stain. Homage to the Bhagavan, the All-Knowing King! At one time when this was being taught, in the sky of Dharmata, the expanse of Essence itself, in the palace of the Dharmadhatu, where wisdom is immaculate and pure, the Bhagavan, glorious Samantabhadra, vast like the sky, unborn, beyond action, dwelt in the expanse of wisdom free from elaboration. The retinue of his own self-appearing awareness consisted of the three kayas, the five wisdoms, the three realms, the five elements, the three times, the five poisons, the seventeen aspects of appearance, and so forth; everything from form up to omniscience was the retinue. Then Vajrasattva inquired: "Emaho, Bhagavan! In the essence of the sun and moon of wisdom, Is there any stain of samsara or not? This net of grasping mind, How should it be cut from the root? All the various phenomena that appear, Into how many types are they gathered when collected?" The Bhagavan replied: "Listen, Vajrasattva, listen! Sky, sun, moon, camphor, crystal, On the basis of all that is undifferentiated, This appearance that arises from the power of causes and conditions, From the beginning is immaculate and utterly pure. Realize it, Vajrasattva, realize it! Six words, six meanings, six powers, Six great ones and six bindus, Cut the net of the six realms of samsara. Meditate, Vajrasattva, meditate! All the various phenomena that are objects, Because they are of one taste in the nature of reality, are gathered into the all-pervading, all-encompassing bindu." Vajrasattva then asked again: "Ema, Bhagavan, Great All-Doer! I beseech you to cut off the beginning and the end. The condensed, the expanded, and the variously expanded, the very expanded, and the completely expanded, the explanation by five sets of six, from the play of compassion and means, I beseech the Teacher to explain to me." From the Tantra of Immaculate Like the Sun and Moon, the chapter of the introduction, the first chapter. Then the Bhagavan spoke: "The various natures are non-dual, but..."

A portion devoid of elaboration in itself. Although one does not conceptualize it as being exactly like that, the All-Good Samantabhadra, the Illuminator of All Things, having been seized, the illness of effort is abandoned. It is established by abiding spontaneously. The Second Chapter, "The Six Vajra Phrases," from the Tantra of Immaculate Radiance Like the Sun and Moon. Then, the Bhagavan spoke: Dharma and mind are primordially non-dual. If the nature of mind is sought, it cannot be found. There is no way to point out to others, "It is like this." Since dharma and mind are nothing whatsoever, when meditating, one does not meditate on anything. Whatever characteristics of conceptualization may arise, if one knows that conceptualization itself is dharmata, then one does not need to seek the dharmadhatu from elsewhere. There is no destroying or refuting it with an antidote. Thus, all aspects of the three times, without straying from oneself, are the dharmakaya. When it becomes power, there is no worldly nature. With compassionate emanations, he pervades all, and sends down a great rain of love upon sentient beings. If there is no duality of meditation and what is to be meditated upon, abiding in bliss in the ultimate state is also called meditating on bodhichitta. If the great river of conceptualization is meaningful without straying, it is the meditation of pure bodhichitta. The Third Chapter, "The Profound Six Meanings," from the Tantra of Immaculate Radiance Like the Sun and Moon. Then, the Bhagavan spoke: Outer and inner, all is the dharmadhatu. In the realm of utterly pure activity, buddhas and sentient beings are non-dual. How could it be corrected by a path? Without accomplishment, without exertion, without aspiration, without action, spontaneously perfected, it is the same as before. In the dharmadhatu of pure, non-dual thought and analysis, what is deceived by the actions of childish wrong thoughts? In the activity of all sentient beings in the non-dual great bliss, there are also those who point out a mistaken path through delusion. But whatever great path is pointed out, it is not different from this. Knowing equally is the lord of all buddhas. By clinging to "I" and "mine," one enters the mistaken path of the tirthikas. There are also those who practice dharma deceived by children. But placing it on the path of conceptualization is without a path to go to, without a time to realize. How could dharmata be found by seeking dharma? If the teacher is not a valid authority, relying on scriptures like a monkey, one goes astray and is seized by conceptualization. Therefore, it is like putting black on gold. That wise teacher, like a precious jewel, is of immeasurable value.
