In life, lacking one's own food, one hopes to sustain the body with begged food and monastery provisions, hoping to eat, hoping to obtain, hoping to find. Yet, one dies from hunger and cold. Either one has never heard the sound of Dharma, or even having heard it, due to lack of connection with lamas and the Sangha, one has not even a hair's breadth of faith. Thus, without benefiting from Dharma, one is born in the Bardo state or in either of the two classes of pretas. One engages in illusory sexual acts, day and night are reversed, one suffers from cold, hunger, and thirst, and the appearance of hunger and food is incessant. One constantly wanders around doors and houses, and although one sees food and wealth, one has no means to enjoy them. One is tormented by fear and hatred. Dead eyes stare at the living, dead hands reach out to the living, dead minds cling to the living. One runs to the sound of the conch shell, gathers in the ranks of distribution, hopes for food and drink, but even when going to the place of distribution, one has no share. One raises one's hand, but others do not see it. Because one is not seen, hatred arises. The land appears as if enveloped in darkness, the body remains like a shadow, one suffers from rain and blizzards. Green turns dark, gray turns withered, yellow turns rusty, the face is unsightly, the voice is unpleasant, one hopes for food, one suffers from thirst, one gathers among the dregs of bad tea leaves, one takes in snot and saliva, one longs for torma and food offerings. May all these, through this torma offering, the nectar of wisdom, the treasure of fulfilling all needs and enjoyments, be satiated and satisfied, and be freed from attachment to food and drink. Without hope or attachment, remembering the deities and lamas, relying on faith and correct prayers, may you quickly proceed to the pure realms. Until that happens, you, the dead, are many, and we, the living, are few. Do not grieve for the dead and the living, do not have great expectations of the living, do not be attached to what remains. Do not steal the essence of oily foods, do not be proud of glittering possessions, do not approach the ranks of relatives and friends. May you be satisfied by the nature of this torma offering nectar. Having been satisfied, may the Victorious Ones and their heirs bless you so that the precious Bodhicitta may arise in your mindstream. The offering of sound: Om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:圆满), Ah (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:无生), Hum (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:摧破). Furthermore, may the monks afflicted by the degeneration of the degenerate age, relying on good aspirations and protection from fear, whose signs are red and yellow, and whose food always depends on the monastery,

B. Difficult to be satisfied with one's own food, relying on others' food, having the right to receive divided food, accepting offerings of faith, asking for summer butter and autumn grain, coming uninvited, demanding even when not needed, getting angry if not given, and coming again even after being given this year. Always relying on others. Like this, whether they are those who have died in the past, those who exist now, or those who will appear in the future, may all be satiated and satisfied by this nectar of wisdom offered as a burnt offering, and may they be free from all feelings of hunger and thirst. May they easily survive even with food the size of a needle tip, and may they not feel longing even for food the size of a mountain. May their faces be radiant and glowing, their bellies full, and their minds at ease. May they constantly strive in practice and purification, and become the object of faith and aspiration. May all be auspicious! I beseech all the local deities and earth-owner spirits, such as Nyenchen Thanglha, who act as accomplices in wars and robberies, causing their own side to win and the other side to lose, to come to this place with swift miraculous powers. I, the yogi, offer this burnt offering blessed by mantra, mudra, and samadhi, which is the essence of nectar, possessing all desirable forms, like a wish-fulfilling jewel and a wish-fulfilling tree, capable of fulfilling all desires. May you partake of these inexhaustible enjoyments until the end of the kalpa. May good thoughts of benefit and happiness arise in your minds, and may you cultivate a mind of equanimity, without partiality or attachment, towards all the vast lands in general, and especially towards all beings dwelling in Ma, Za, and Mar (three place names). May all beings live together in harmony with loving-kindness, beneficial intentions, and joyful hearts, and may all evil deeds such as fighting and contention cease from this time forward. May all humans and non-humans be sure to delight in acting in accordance with the sacred Dharma, and may you earnestly strive to facilitate this. I beseech you to assist in the unobstructed and wish-fulfilling accomplishment of all the wishes of Khagyar Nyerdzurb Padma Chöpel (a person's name), the messenger of the command of the Sa-sKya Dege (Shiqu, located in Ganzi, Sichuan) King, who governs the vast land in accordance with the Dharma, without transgressing the commands and vows of the great master Padmasambhava of Oddiyana and other accomplished beings of the past. In particular, may you completely sever the thoughts of attachment and aversion, and view all appearances as dreams.
