Commentary on the Stable Foot of the Prince Ghyenpen Thaye, Opening the Vajra Words. Commentary on the Stable Foot of the Prince Ghyenpen Thaye, Opening the Vajra Words. Thus concludes the commentary on the Stable Foot of the Precious Prince Ghyenpen Thaye, called "Opening the Vajra Words." I prostrate to the feet of the venerable and kind Lama. Here, I will explain a little about the meaning of these three shlokas of the Stable Foot of the Protector. First, the word "Om Swasti" (藏文,梵文天城體:ओं स्वस्ति,梵文羅馬擬音:oṃ svasti,漢語字面意思:嗡,吉祥), which brings well-being, is used as an introduction. Om is a letter composed of the three letters A, U, and Ma. It represents the aggregates of body, speech, and mind of sentient beings, which are to be made well, and the nature of the three vajras of the Buddhas, which make them well. It wishes for temporary happiness and ultimate goodness, thus making it auspicious. The main text has two parts: Praying to abandon the two causes of death, and praying to abide in the nature of immortality and permanence. First, in general, all the sufferings of samsara arise from taking birth in samsara. Since there is no birth without death, birth is preceded by death. It is not possible to know which of these two came first, so samsara is said to be without beginning. Great Bodhisattvas who have attained power have abandoned the suffering of birth and death with its own characteristics, but they still show birth and death for the sake of those to be tamed. Therefore, if one prays to an Arya with devotion, they will abide according to their wishes by the power of compassion. For ordinary people, it is by the power of faith and pure vows that they conquer the battlefield of obstacles. Here, it has the meaning of both aspiration and prayer. There are two causes for embodied beings to die: conceptual thought and wind. First, the tantra says, "Death is called conceptual thought, it leads to the place of the Dakinis." Therefore, death is established by the power of the arising and gathering of conceptual thoughts. If all conceptual thoughts dissolve into the non-conceptual clear light, and the ultimate truth is realized, then there is no suffering of death with its own characteristics. Such a clear light
