Relying on the method of quick calculation, I will briefly write down some necessary matters for the combination and calculation of Lī-thu (藏文：ལྀ་ཐུ་). ༈ Each house-month has thirty days, among which the eighth, twenty-third, and thirtieth days of the house-constellation, as well as the beginning of each house and the subsequent moments, the time of transition of the breath-obtained solar foot, and especially the fifth day of the conjunction arrow, show the solstices of summer and winter. Everything corresponds to the degree of completion of the time spent in each house-constellation day. ༈ If these are determined by diagrams, the breath-obtained previous month, and whichever of the house-constellation beginnings is calculated, the two returns, the remainder of the intercalary month mixed with the past months two and eight, are all multiplied by zero-fire (03). Those breath-obtained are form-water-dharma (543), the house-constellation beginning is taste-fire-birth (631), and the arrival of the house-constellation is given zero (0). The two returns are day-appearance-birth-yuan-fire (143). According to the method of the "Blue Beryl" (藏文：བཻཌཱུར), it is hole-time-water (064). Divide by arrow-taste (56), and whatever remainder occurs, either the table of one-five parts, or the remainder divided by five, wealth (4) with thirteen parts, and the remainder with five parts. Take that mixed with the same position, and add it above the planet-sun between those days held by each, and the respective place-time scales, etc., will appear. Furthermore, the time of the appearance of Rishi (藏文：རི་ཥི་) is shown by the breath-obtained of the birth month. If looking at the pig day, then the remainder of the added month, multiplied by zero-fire (03), hole-fire (03) is strong. Mixing division, etc., is as before. ༈ The solar asterisms, etc., are roughly as in the established ones. If writing in detail as said in the "Blue Beryl", like the calculation of Mergen (藏文：མེར་རྒན) gold, within the fifteenth victorious birth cycle (Rabyung, 藏文：རབ་བྱུང་), the name-suppressed past year multiplied by the sun, spring-la (藏文：དཔྱིད་ར་) and the first month, etc., the past months mixed, place two positions. Below, use eye-multiply, give dot-water. Arrow-taste (56) hears, throw above, the month is pure. The pure month is multiplied by zero-fire (03), whichever day is calculated, mix and place three positions. In the middle, use fire-eye (32) below, fire-time-top give mountain-sky-pattern (706). Obtaining middle give water-taste divide (46/4). The remainder is dot-east month small, obtaining wealth (4) practice above, the past days total fixed (སྤྱི་དྷྲུ་སྟེ།), that is, place on five positions, the first water mixed can remove.
