Therefore, that which is 'without limitations of direction and time' is great, hence it is vast. And those things that have a definite nature of their own place and time are said to be common because they are small. Such giving and so on are sometimes obscured by giving and so on in any way. If so, how is this tantra vast? And how can one become enlightened in an instant? Therefore, 'going' and so on are mentioned. 'Going' refers to the wheel of beings, sentient beings, with the nature of perfect and complete enlightenment. In this tantra, the yogi is of that nature, so in this very life he obtains the manifestation as described above, so it is reasonable to realize enlightenment. Moreover, all the qualities of all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas belonging to the ten directions and three times are all possessed by those very ones with the nature of unsurpassed and meaningful vows, the nature of unsurpassed offerings, the nature of great bliss, and the mandala wheel with a pleasing appearance, expanding and contracting, briefly generating in all sentient beings and oneself, and abiding equally, thus becoming familiar. In this way, one follows and realizes through all practices and recitations and so on. Therefore, all giving and morality and so on are supremely wonderful and vast, and because everything is always seen as being of that very nature, the profound is also supreme here, because the object is pleasing. Because of the power of the vow and the focus of the mind, there is no difficulty. Therefore, it is reasonable that one will realize enlightenment here in just a moment in this very life. Here is a verse: 'A collection of qualities, well-trained by nature, The vows of the Victorious Ones become friends, Likewise, all other practices and recitations, All arise from the mind, therefore, quickly attain enlightenment.' Some think that such vastness of giving and so on is also present in the ways of the perfections, because they are completely seized by the Perfection of Wisdom. Therefore, 'to be given' and so on are mentioned, meaning not to be attached to giving and so on. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

However, those such as giving are of ordinary nature, because they sever the aspects of place and time, and although they do not destroy the measurable due to selflessness, it has been said before that the supreme wheel, that is, the noble one, is not present in them. Therefore, 'thereby' and so on are verses used for summarizing. 'Universal discrimination' refers to all ordinary habitual tendencies. 'All-illuminating' refers to the Buddha's emanation, benefiting all beings in various ways, possessing the light that pervades all beings, hence it is called 'All-Illuminating Radiance'. 'Samantabhadra' refers to having the nature of all goodness, having the meaning of a mandala wheel. 'Merely through meditation' means that when striving to meditate, at the moment of birth, or in half that time, or in that night, just as when obtaining leisure, one will attain enlightenment. This is the commentary on Ratrākaraśānti's 'Four Hundred and Fifty Verses'. In the commentary on the 'Four Hundred and Fifty Verses': If one meditates only on mind-only, then like the realm of infinite consciousness, one will only attain worldly samadhi. However, if one particularly meditates on emptiness, then that will only be complete nirvana, in order to perfect the practice of studying the Buddha's teachings. Or, if one meditates only on the nature of the deity, then one will not become a Buddha merely through that, because the perfection of actions is incomplete. Or, if one meditates on the suchness of the deities, but not on the deities themselves, then even in that case, one will attain Buddhahood after many countless eons, not quickly. Therefore, meditating on both is very pleasing, and due to the excellence of blessings, one will quickly attain unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment. Sarva Mangalam!
