Whoever holds. Flowers and, crops and, fruits and, trees and, roots doing harm, all of these mouths, let them be bound. Let them be turned back. Let them be threatened. From the four directions within ten yojanas, make a great boundary. Make a great universal protection. Bhagavan, at the time of the future age, all harmful thoughts, let them be turned back. The words of the mantra, let them be subsequently clear. Bhagavan, for the sake of all sentient beings, and for the sake of your loving-kindness towards me, I pray for blessings. The Bhagavan said thus. Great sage, I have blessed. For the sake of all sentient beings, and for the sake of completely protecting crops and, flowers and, fruits and, leaves, speak the mantra. Then, the great sage sat before the Bhagavan and spoke this dharani. May all increase and flourish, and may they be peacefully protected. Then the great ascetic spoke the extensive ritual. The Bhagavan, facing east, had this essence of the wisdom ascetic, in a medium-sized pot filled with water, recited one hundred and eight times. After the ascetic spoke, it should be scattered in the four directions. a-va-ra sa-ra sma-ra. śā-rā śā-pa sa-pa ta-ri-śa hṛ-dā-ya. kro-dha da-da. mu-kha na. bandha-ya. pra-ṇa pa-rā. ghu-mu-ru ca-la svā-hā. By merely reciting this mantra seven times, all harmful nagas will become tormented by heat. All kinds of two-legged and four-legged creatures will be tormented by curses, and all will scatter. Furthermore, they will not harm the crops in that area again. All kinds of creatures will disappear. Moreover, they will not make the crops, flowers, fruits, and leaves unsuitable. Then, the Bhagavan gave the great ascetic the word "Good!" Great ascetic, good, good! In any case, you must protect all sentient beings well, and protect all the crops, flowers, and fruits well. Then, the great leader of the yaksha host, Vajrapani, said this to the Bhagavan: In future times, if I can follow and protect, and completely cherish, please bless me, Bhagavan. Vajrapani, good, good! Completely protect all sentient beings. From the Naga's Vow called "Vajra Mouth," the ritual for pacifying harm to crops, the essence of the Naga is complete. Auspicious!
