Collected Oral Instructions on the Guhyagarbha Tantra. Collected Oral Instructions on the Guhyagarbha Tantra. Furthermore, the luminosity that arises from the four emptinesses and the wisdom that arises from the four joys—whether it is Mahamudra, mantra practice, or any other dharma, all conceptual thoughts must cease. However, in the luminosity of Dzogchen, without ceasing the conceptual thoughts of the mind and mental factors, one recognizes rigpa and liberates all conceptual thoughts into the nature of wisdom. This is said to be the unique characteristic of Dzogchen. In general, there are great differences between the renunciation, bodhicitta, view, and discipline of Sutra and Tantra. In the Sutra tradition, renunciation arises from being weary of samsara. In Tantra, renunciation arises from being weary of impure appearances and attachments. In Sutra, there is bodhicitta led by compassion, like an illusion. In Tantra, there are "Namo I" and "Infinite," etc. As it is said, for sentient beings who have not realized the meaning that all dharmas are primordially enlightened... In terms of view, Sutra emphasizes realizing emptiness, while Tantra emphasizes realizing the inseparability of ultimate and relative truth. In terms of discipline, in Pratimoksha, one takes the Pratimoksha vows through the four karmas. In Bodhisattva vows, one refrains from negative actions, accumulates virtuous dharmas, and works for the benefit of sentient beings. In the common practice of highest yoga Tantra, there is the irreversible discipline. If one realizes the view of Mahasandhi, it is said to be the discipline that pleases the Buddhas. The six paramitas of mantra-Dzogchen are: generosity is the release of attachment to objects into their own place; discipline is not being stained by the defilements of the mind's deluded thoughts in the three times; patience is not being afraid of the profound meaning. If one is afraid, there is no need to enter; if one wants to enter, one needs patience. In the essence of the innate Dharmakaya, rigpa has taken a firm hold. Other than that, the Dharmakaya Vajradhara has not taught any other diligence. Samadhi is not being controlled by delusion. The wisdom that expands effortlessly is profound prajna. The six paramitas are practiced simultaneously. Turning the head around, the purification of the five senses and five elements is correct, but falsely measuring an object is not wise. Therefore, if one recognizes the wisdom of inner meaning through the guru's instructions, one can destroy everything. Such a principle was spoken by Rinpoche. Beginning with settling into the harmony of place and appearance, one will understand for oneself. If one is a togal practitioner, then the mandala of wisdom will be manifest in appearance.

Alas, this is not acceptable. This is neither the beginning nor the end, it is impossible to exist like a sudden guest. It is very thin, like the flickering yellow light of a conch shell, it is impossible to be separated by something like a yak carcass. This is very thin. Whether one understands or not, whether one comprehends or not, whether one knows or not, just a little bit, some say this is a deity. Furthermore, in the oral transmission regarding the Guhyagarbha Tantra, it is said: When awareness manifests, the Dharmadhatu naturally appears, without the elaboration of seer and seen, because it is directly seen, it is called self-awareness. Furthermore, regarding the various aspects of the Guhyagarbha Tantra, in the oral transmission it is said: As explained in the Treasury of Words and Meanings, etc., the state of mind is rigid. The essence is the rider, the various minds accompanied by wind. The radiance of awareness does not separate, like the wind riding a blind horse, using a metaphor to express that its meaning is the radiance of awareness itself, and not other than that. If the radiance of awareness is not accompanied, there will be no function of recognizing objects, etc., so it is said. Furthermore, Lama Nyakla said that the general meaning of the Clear Light Essence is the general meaning including the tantras of mantra, and especially the general meaning of the three inner tantras that dispel the darkness of the ten directions and the commentary on the Ratnakuta Sutra. Generally speaking, Mahayoga is the basis of all Dharmas, the reason being: all vehicles from the Hinayana to the Clear Light Dzogchen, their ultimate reality is the inseparability of the two truths, in order to realize what has become the subject matter of Mahayoga, these means are explained. Therefore, Mahayoga is the basis from which all vehicles arise. In particular, when practicing the unsurpassed mantra, one must engage in teaching, listening, contemplation, and practice on the basis of regarding phenomena and existence as pure, therefore it is the basis of all Dharmas. According to such a Mahayoga tradition, generally speaking, relying on mandalas of colored powder, paintings, etc., one receives the vase empowerment, and one must realize its view, that is, phenomena and existence are pure and equal, the two truths are inseparable, phenomena and existence are the mandala of primordial Buddhahood. Its path is the generation stage. Even if one has not realized to that extent, one must rely on pure teachings and reasoning, transform the impure ordinary body into the mandala of deities and wisdom, and uphold the vows, this is the means of the generation stage and the vows. Regarding deities, mantras, and Dharmata as conceptual thoughts of name-grasping, merging into the Dharmadhatu, this is the completion stage of wisdom and the vows.
