Concise Instructions on How to Practice Dzogchen. Concise Instructions on How to Practice Dzogchen. How to practice the path of the Great Perfection. In general, to practice the path of the Great Perfection of Clear Light, there are three aspects: preliminary, main practice, and subsequent practice. First, the preliminary practice is the oral instruction on demolishing the house of the mind. This has three aspects: tracing the root, seeking faults, and examining the origin, dwelling, and destination. First, tracing the root is: like the oral instruction of recognizing a thief, it is necessary to recognize the root of the cycle of the three realms of samsara. At this time, most of the current instructors tell the students to contemplate which of your body, speech, and mind is the most important. By just saying that, what are they thinking in their minds? Initially, the deluded one, etc., is the mind, so they say the mind is the most important. Again, they say, does your mind have color, shape, etc.? Go and contemplate its origin, dwelling, and destination. By just saying that there is nothing, you say you know, now leave it unmodified and meditate by looking at the letter A, etc. Such teachings are like closing the outer door from the outside and closing the inner door from the inside, there is no need to keep it a secret. That is not the custom of Mahamudra, Dzogchen, or Madhyamaka. Such a thing can be known even by an old woman, so there is no need for Vajradhara to descend just to show that little bit of reason, so it is said that such bad habits must be eradicated from now on. Our own tradition considers the self-grasping of the person to be the root of samsara, and in the face of inverted wisdom, the five aggregates or the three of body, speech, and mind appear as self or mine. Grasping it as self, or grasping it as mine, that is precisely the way of appearance that must be negated, so it is said that the self-grasping of the person is the root of samsara. Grasping at phenomena is considered to be the obscuration of knowledge. Maitreya, the Regent, said: "Whatever is the conceptual thought of the three spheres, that is considered to be the obscuration of knowledge." This is said to be acknowledged as such from Sutra to Tantra, and there is no need to change it to something else. There is no need to add other things, there is no need to mix it with others, mixing it is not right. How is it not right? Later generations added true existence to the object to be negated, and considered that to be the object to be negated, and considered the grasping of reality to be the affliction obscuration, so the grasping of phenomena is also considered to be the root of samsara, one person

It is inappropriate to mix the views of Ngor and Khor, as these two views are difficult to reconcile. Furthermore, the self-school believes that the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas have not fully realized the selflessness of phenomena, while others believe that the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas have fully realized the selflessness of phenomena, so it is inappropriate to mix the two. For example, like mixing gromas and butter, if one thing can help another, and one thing can be an aid to another, then it can be mixed, but if not, it should not be mixed. For example, for the self-school, it is very important to generate certainty from the depths of the heart and to make a thorough decision. For others, it is very important to maintain faith and pure appearance from now until the Bodhi Tree, and it is said that this is the code of conduct for noble people. In general, there are seven different schools in Tibet, and all of these schools have their own paths, and through their own paths, they all have complete and unerring methods of liberation and enlightenment, so there is no need to mix them together. Secondly, finding fault: How does self-grasping grasp? It grasps a whole, thinking it is real. There are many antidotes that can overturn it, such as the five aggregates. As for the form aggregate, if it is broken down into indivisible particles, it will contradict "one." The antidote to truth is falsehood and impermanence, so the nature of changing moment by moment is subtle dharma-nature impermanence and coarse continuous impermanence. Because nothing exists truly except for the combination of causes and conditions, if one realizes this, self-grasping will collapse on its own, thereby realizing the selflessness of persons. When examining which of body, speech, and mind is more important, although it is thought that mind is more important, upon closer examination, the body is also important. Because there is no way to enter the door of the Buddha's teachings except through the three vows of individual liberation, bodhisattva, and mantra. Therefore, first, in order to generate the vows of individual liberation in the continuum, one needs men and women from the three continents. Moreover, among these men and women, one needs a special body as a basis from Jambudvipa, because other gods, nagas, dakinis, etc., cannot be born there. Even if the Buddha himself came, there would be no way to benefit them. Although gods and nagas, etc., can generate bodhisattva vows, it cannot be done by mind alone; body, speech, and mind must be combined. Entering the door of unsurpassed mantra
