I subdue the gods and demons with power, as well as the rain gods and all sentient beings pervading the rain. May all the patrons who requested rain have long life, be free from illness, and be perfectly complete in this life. May they be reborn in the blissful realm after this life, and may they please Amitabha Buddha with offerings. May this virtue of my raining become a fearless refuge for all beings tormented by heat. May it become a bestowal of wealth and enjoyment for all beings tormented by the fear of famine. May it become a bestowal of the sacred Dharma for all formless gods, demons, and local deities. May all the gods and demons connected with this time be satisfied with the sacred Dharma when I attain enlightenment in the future, and may they quickly be placed on the Buddha's seat. When leaving after saying these auspicious words, put away the ritual implements, invert the torma, and pull out the stake. If you still want to rain, do not drain the water. Put precious pills, Naga medicine, and other sacred objects inside. Be sure to keep it out of reach of birds and dogs. If you do not want to rain, drain the water, make offerings, and give the torma and other things to the birds in a dry place. Then return, stay for a while in a deserted place, at the foot of a mountain, or in a place where gods and demons live, such as rocks or trees, and perform a brief body offering, or mentally visualize white and red offerings.
