TSR50 Teachings of Trachen Lotsawa Gyatso, The Practice of Inseparability of the Lama and Gonpo. The Practice of Inseparability of the Lama and Gonpo Homage to the inseparable Lama and Gonpo! Homage to the Swift-Acting Avalokiteśvara! Here, in the lineage of Nyinkhu, this is the practice of the inseparable Lama and Gonpo composed by Kyungpo Men. A yogi who has received the blessings of this glorious protector should, in a secluded place, first take refuge and generate bodhicitta. On the crown of one's head, visualize a variegated lotus with eight petals arising from 'པཾ' (Tibetan, paṃ, Sanskrit Devanagari, पཾ, Sanskrit Romanization, paṃ, seed syllable). At the center of the lotus, on top of a lunar disc arising from 'ཨ' (Tibetan, a, Sanskrit Devanagari, अ, Sanskrit Romanization, a, seed syllable), is a variegated vajra arising from 'ཧཱུྃ' (Tibetan, hūṃ, Sanskrit Devanagari, हुं, Sanskrit Romanization, hūṃ, seed syllable), filled with 'ཧཱུྃ' (Tibetan, hūṃ, Sanskrit Devanagari, हुं, Sanskrit Romanization, hūṃ, seed syllable). From this, rays of light emanate, making offerings to the noble ones and purifying the obscurations of sentient beings. The light converges and dissolves, transforming into the Bhagavan Vajrasattva, with a variegated body, one face, and two arms. The right hand holds a variegated vajra, and the left hand holds a bell with its handle made of the same material, embracing the consort. In his lap is the consort Vajrasattvasmā, with a variegated body, one face, and two arms. The right hand holds a curved knife, and the left hand holds a skull cup filled with blood, embracing the lord. Both are adorned with bone ornaments and jewels, with a white 'ཨོཾ' (Tibetan, oṃ, Sanskrit Devanagari, ओं, Sanskrit Romanization, oṃ, seed syllable) on their foreheads, a red 'ཨཱཿ' (Tibetan, āḥ, Sanskrit Devanagari, आः, Sanskrit Romanization, āḥ, seed syllable) on their throats, a blue 'ཧཱུྃ' (Tibetan, hūṃ, Sanskrit Devanagari, हुं, Sanskrit Romanization, hūṃ, seed syllable) on their hearts, and a variegated 'ཧཱུྃ' (Tibetan, hūṃ, Sanskrit Devanagari, हुं, Sanskrit Romanization, hūṃ, seed syllable) on their navels. From these, light radiates, inviting all the lamas, yidams, and Buddhas in the form of Vajrasattva, merging them indivisibly with 'ཛཿཧཱུྃ་བཾ་ཧོ' (Tibetan, jaḥ hūṃ baṃ hoḥ, Sanskrit Devanagari, जः हुं बं होः, Sanskrit Romanization, jaḥ hūṃ vaṃ hoḥ, invitation, merging, binding, joy). Pray to the Bhagavan: 'Please bless me to purify all the sins, obscurations, and stains that I have accumulated since beginningless time!' After praying in this way, nectar of five colors emanates from the 'ཧཱུྃ' (Tibetan, hūṃ, Sanskrit Devanagari, हुं, Sanskrit Romanization, hūṃ, seed syllable) at his heart, filling the bodies of both the lord and consort. From the union of the two, nectar flows down from the aperture of Brahma at the crown of the head, visualizing all sins and obscurations leaving the body in the form of smoke through the two lower orifices and the soles of the feet. Recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra, and at the end, recite the confession, 'Due to my ignorance and delusion,' etc. Vajrasattva dissolves into oneself, and one transforms into Vajrasattva, with a variegated body, holding a variegated vajra in the right hand against the heart, and a bell with its handle made of the same material resting on the hip in the left hand, the right leg slightly extended and the left leg bent, adorned with silks and jewels. Visualize oneself as inseparable from the deity. Then, in the space in front of oneself --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Su. From Pam arises a lotus, from Ram arises the sun, from Gham arises the white Ganapati (Lord of Hosts), imagine him lying supine. Above him, visualize a white Hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ). From it, radiate light, destroying all malevolent forces. Gathering together, visualize the glorious Wisdom Protector, white in color, with one face and six arms, standing upright. The first right hand holds a curved knife, the middle one a rosary of skulls, and the last one vigorously shakes a damaru drum. The first left hand holds a skull cup filled with blood, the middle one a trident, and the last one a vajra lasso. He has three red, round eyes, an open mouth, bared fangs, thick eyebrows and beard, and reddish-yellow hair standing on end. He wears a crown of five dry human skulls and a necklace of fifty fresh, bleeding human heads. He is adorned with six bone ornaments and snakes, and wears a tiger skin loincloth tied with a green silk belt. His belly hangs down, and his limbs are thick and sturdy. His forehead is smeared with sindhura, and his hands and feet are adorned with tinkling bells. He dwells in the midst of blazing wisdom fire, wearing a crown of Akshobhya (Immovable One), and clad in a fresh elephant hide. Visualize these and bless the three places. Invite the wisdom being and then stabilize it. Above his crown, at a height of one arrow, on a lotus and moon cushion, is the root guru, white in color, with one face and two arms, the right hand holding a skull damaru drum, and the left hand holding a golden bell. He stands upright, adorned with silk and various jewels, with a peaceful and smiling countenance. Merely seeing his body purifies obscurations, and merely hearing his voice ensures reaching the irreversible stage. Visualize him radiating immeasurable light. From his heart, light radiates, inviting all lineage gurus and yidams (tutelary deities), who merge into him. If reciting, visualize from the Hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ) syllable in the Protector's heart, a white rosary of mantras emanates, entering your own mouth and dissolving into the navel chakra, burning all diseases and evil spirits. Recite: Oṃ Vajra Mahākāla Kṣiṃ Kṣetra Vighna Vināyaka Hūṃ Hūṃ Phaṭ Phaṭ Svāhā (藏文,梵文天城体:ॐ वज्र महाकाल क्षिम् क्षे त्र विघन विनायक हुं हुं फट् फट् स्वाहा,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajra mahākāla kṣiṃ kṣetra vighna vināyaka hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ phaṭ svāhā,汉语字面意思:Om, Vajra, Mahakala, Kshim, Kshetra, Vighna, Vinayaka, Hum, Hum, Phat, Phat, Svaha!) and Oṃ Vajra Nara Kriṃ Kriṃ Hūṃ Hūṃ Phaṭ Phaṭ Svāhā (藏文,梵文天城体:ॐ वज्र नर क्रिं क्रिं हुं हुं फट् फट् स्वाहा,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajra nara kriṃ kriṃ hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ phaṭ svāhā,汉语字面意思:Om, Vajra, Nara, Krim, Krim, Hum, Hum, Phat, Phat, Svaha!) etc., as much as possible. Even if not reciting, there is no fault of lacking limbs. In short, by generating strong faith and reverence towards the guru and the Protector as inseparable, visualize immeasurable light emanating from the guru, striking the Protector, causing the Protector to naturally blaze with light, and the damaru drum to sound. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
