When a yogi practices luminosity, or recognizes the arising of luminosity, or does so during the day, practices the Mahamudra of luminosity. At that time, the body takes the posture of suppressing the earth, and with the desire to take the elephant posture, holds the breath slightly. All nights will appear as the Mahamudra of luminosity. Furthermore, all thoughts will appear as luminosity separated from thoughts, inexpressible, thinking of nothing whatsoever. Third, concerning the luminosity of bliss, there are three: the luminosity of bliss with outflows, the mixed luminosity, and the luminosity of bliss without outflows. The first, through the power of increasing bliss itself, during the day and night during sleep, through the secret place of a woman, the flesh of the thighs, or seeing sexual activity, or touching one's own body, or engaging in sexual activity, or clearly visualizing the union of the Yidam father and mother and focusing on their secret place, etc., a great bliss arises, and when the drop is about to fall, slightly tighten the upper breath downwards, and then contract the lower breath upwards, drawing up the drop. When all objects, mind, and appearances appear as bliss, the body is unable to move, and even cutting flesh will appear as bliss. At that time, placing bliss in a non-conceptual state, the luminosity of bliss with outflows will appear. The second is the luminosity of increasing bliss without grasping, which is the mixed luminosity of with and without outflows. The third is the bliss that increases during the day, placing it in emptiness, and through the power of practice, when going to sleep at night and in the morning, focusing the mind on that bliss and falling asleep. First there is bodily bliss, then mental bliss, then everything will become great bliss. Thus, day and night, all appearances and mind appear as bliss. In general, all attachment and aversion will self-purify and self-liberate, and in particular, one will be free from all attachment, aversion, and jealousy of men and women. This occurs when bliss increases and does not diminish. Therefore, the luminosity appearing impartially because the outflows have not diminished is the Dharma of the result. Fourth, as mentioned above, luminosity, bliss, and non-conceptuality, sometimes one component appears more prominently. The Mahamudra of luminosity is luminosity without grasping, thinking 'only this'. Similarly, there is no attachment to bliss, thinking 'only this'. And non-conceptuality clearly appears. This is because luminosity is the Nirmanakaya, non-conceptuality is the Dharmakaya, and bliss is the Sambhogakaya, although they are not simultaneously possessed, when the result manifests, the Mahamudra of union of luminosity appears. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mahāmudrā: The body is bliss-emptiness (བདེ་སྟོང་།), all appearances are appearance-emptiness (སྣང་སྟོང་།), and the mind is the union of awareness and emptiness (རིག་སྟོང་ཟུང་འཇུག་). These three unions are not separate; they are clear and without conceptualization at every moment or at all times, blissful without attachment, and appearing without clinging. These three are inseparable, and the all-perfect, supreme clear light Mahāmudrā will manifest. It should be realized that it is free from all thoughts and expressions such as existence and non-existence, good and bad, edge and center, birth and death, affirmation and negation. The instructions on cause and effect are not written here for fear of being intimidated by the abundance of words. These should be studied from all the sutras and tantras. Because of faith, wisdom, devotion, and experience, and because of the encouragement of the excellent spiritual friend, it is recorded here. May the Ḍākinīs (མཁའ་འགྲོ) of the three places forgive! May this meaning be realized and the benefit of others be spontaneously accomplished! The recognition of the door of clear light manifestation is complete. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
