A Brief Biography of Jetsun Taranatha Up to the Age of Four. A Brief Biography of Jetsun Taranatha Up to the Age of Four. Herein lies a brief biography of Jetsun Taranatha up to the age of four. Namo Guru. The supreme omniscient Jetsun, unparalleled in the three realms, the guide for beings who encounter him through sight, hearing, memory, and touch. The great wonders of his initial entry into the womb and his birth are limitless and beyond expression. Regarding this, I, possessing a great lineage, along with the people of that land and the current royal family, have unwavering faith and certainty, and those who have genuine conviction have recorded it in writing. Among the twelve steadfast mothers on the left, the sacred site of Dorje Yutronma, the source of Kharak Drang, the abode of the successive lineage of the great translator Ra Lotsawa (1059-1128). Now known as Chokor Teng (monastery name), Jetsun Tsultrim Gyatso, the mantra Vajra Holder, had four sons. He took Yum Dorje Budga Lhamo as his wife, who was virtuous, feared sin, and compassionate towards the poor. When the mother was nineteen years old, at the time when Jetsun entered her womb, the mother dreamt that a golden vajra, filled with light, descended from the sunlight, and that light pervaded all realms of the world. Then, that light and the stainless golden vajra dissolved into the crown of the mother's head, and her body's radiance increased immeasurably more than before. Furthermore, she dreamt of wearing various silk garments, sitting on a precious throne, with young, vibrant women holding precious vessels filled with various foods, offering them, bowing, circumambulating, and attending to her with unimaginable devotion. A black man with a golden belt, holding a curved knife in his hand, guarded the door. Many sons and daughters of the gods bathed his body from the sky, making offerings and praises, and his body was adorned with bone ornaments and precious jewels, and so on, with auspicious dreams.

Many things that had not happened, Were told to the mother's people as such dreams. Other people did not know how to express it, some said that these dreams were not worth rejoicing, and suggested doing rituals for the mother to remove illness and prolong life. There was a slight feeling of unease. There was a great mantra holder named Tsultrim Gyatso, who was proficient in all aspects of Sutra, Tantra, and knowledge, had recited a great number of deity and protector mantras, and had visions of the deity. He said: These dreams of daughter Ga Lhamo are very good. Recently, I have also had many good dreams, so let daughter Ga Lhamo keep clean and avoid contact with anyone's food, etc. After that, do not tell anyone about the dreams, etc. He was very affectionate towards the mother. Then, in the early morning of the tenth day of the first month (hor-zla) of the Pig year (Tibetan calendar), as the sun rose, the mother gave birth to a baby with a rainbow-like five-colored light on its abdomen without much fatigue. Grandfather Rinpoche said: Alas, this is how our family is born. To open this (baby), do not use iron or copper to open it, you must use a wooden key to open it. You must use a weaver's shuttle to open it. After opening it with a shuttle and a wooden key, etc., a boy with a white and reddish complexion came out, with moles, blood, and fat marks on his body, like vermilion-colored silk threads. The hands and feet had the marks of the Dharma wheel, and it exuded the wonderful fragrance of camphor and saffron, with lips like blooming lotuses, and eyes like the finest উৎপལ་(Tibetan, सुम्भानि सुम्भानि हुं, sumbhani sumbhani hum, Utpala) looking sharply in all directions. From his mouth, he recited Om སུམྦྷ་ནི་སུམྦྷ་ནི་ཧཱུཾ། (Tibetan, सुम्भानि सुम्भानि हुं, sumbhani sumbhani hum, Om, Sumbhani, Sumbhani, Hum) and other mantras three times. There was no need to cut the umbilical cord, etc. At that time, the people around said that whether this was good or bad, this was a very strange phenomenon, and that he knew how to speak as soon as he was born. The grandfather said: The moles and signs on the body are very wonderful, and the speaking is reciting purification mantras. When Jekung Ga Sengge first established this monastery, whether in terms of the terrain or the auspicious connections,
