To these, attach the syllable A (Tibetan: ཨ་ཀཱ་རོ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अकारो, Sanskrit Romanization: akaro, literal Chinese meaning: A), and offer them to the retinue three times each. Om Bhava Khahi Khahi (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་བྷ་ཝ་ཁཱ་ཧི་ཁཱ་ཧི།, Sanskrit Devanagari: , Sanskrit Romanization: , literal Chinese meaning: ). Grihna Grihna Grihna Hum (Tibetan: གྲྀཧྞ་གྲྀཧྞ་གྲྀཧྞ་ཧཱུཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: , Sanskrit Romanization: , literal Chinese meaning: ). Sarva Bhuta Baling Svaha (Tibetan: སརྦ་བྷུ་ཏ་བཱ་ལིཾ་སྭཱཧཱ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: , Sanskrit Romanization: , literal Chinese meaning: ). Recite this twenty-one times and offer it to all the spirits of the retinue. Sanskrit Devanagari: , Sanskrit Romanization: , literal Chinese meaning: ). With this, give the residual offering to the wandering beings. Offer praise. Pray that they accept this offering cake and so forth, and pray for the fulfillment of wishes. Recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra, confess, and perform the welcoming, gathering, aspiration, and auspicious prayers as usual. This essence of practice alone is sufficient. If you prefer elaborate invocation, seating, offering clouds, praise, and entrusting activities, you should learn them elsewhere. If you wish to give the empowerment of this practice, perform the elaborate offering cake ritual: In the center, set up a high platform with a mandala and offerings surrounding it. To the north, place an offering cake in the shape of Mount Meru and the four continents, adorned with fruits and valuables. To the east, place a round offering cake adorned with various fragrances, and with blood-like offerings. To the south, place a triangular offering cake with fish and meat. To the west, place a crescent-shaped offering cake with milk and flowers, each surrounded by many small hooks. Also, place an offering cake for all spirits and a residual offering cake in the form of dregs. Each offering should have no fewer than a complete set of offerings. Place the chakras of each deity on the top of the offering cakes. Banish obstacles, meditate on the protective circle, and bless the place and objects. Then, as mentioned above, up to the point of praying for the fulfillment of wishes, the master should complete the practice. The disciple offers a mandala, and the Vajra Holder and others pray. Recite refuge and bodhicitta, either elaborate or concise. Have them perform the constant confession and the seven-branch prayer, either one. Clearly illuminate the visualization of the deity in front of the disciple's mind. Make the disciple manifest as the essence of any deity. Accompanied by the sound of music, from invoking the Four Great Kings onwards, up to the offering of praise, offering of seats, and the blending of the samaya and wisdom beings, proceed as before. In the disciple's heart, visualize the seed syllable of the deity surrounded by the heart mantra, and at the outer edge, visualize the mantra garland revolving, and give the recitation transmission in accordance with the common practice. The disciple imagines that they have offered, and then offers the remaining offering cakes separately. Also offer the remaining offerings, bless them, and offer praise. Hand over the offering cakes to the disciple one by one and give the instructions.

It should be done vigorously. The subsequent actions are the same as usual. If it is done for ordinary householders who are not lay tantrikas, it is said to be good to place the torma on the head and give the torma empowerment without generating the disciple as the yidam. Generally speaking, doing so is not the intention of the tantric dispensation of the tantras, but according to local customs, everyone does it nowadays, and doing so is auspicious. This can be applied to all other situations. Also, in this case, without setting up a vase and without generating deities, each person recites their own mantras, and before the recitation transmission, the empowerment is given with the water of the vase, and the practice of naming it as mantra empowerment also exists, which seems very good. Therefore, if someone wants power and wealth, and likes to practice the local umbrella-bearing ghosts, if they sincerely want the Dharma and wealth to increase, then practice the Good and Excellent God! This is the chapter on the practice of the Four Great Kings. Auspicious! This is the precious source of the practice of the Ocean of Yidams spoken from the Four Tantras.
