The first chapter, explaining the general principles, from the work called "The Precious Source of Yidam Ocean Sadhana." The Precious Source of Yidam Ocean Sadhana. Blank page. Herein resides the work called "The Precious Source of Yidam Ocean Sadhana." Oṃ svāsti. (藏文:ཨོཾ་སྭཱ་སྟི།,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ svāsti,汉语字面意思:Oṃ, may there be well-being!). The work called "The Precious Source of Yidam Ocean Sadhana." I prostrate to all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas residing in the ten directions and three times, and to the assembly of gurus, yidams, dakinis, dharma protectors, and guardians. The victorious guide, Shakya Simha, The guru, Vajradhara, inseparable form. To that guide of the path of liberation, with respectful mind, I pay homage with all things, greatly increased. The glorious body of great bliss, surrounded by a myriad of expressions of youthful wisdom, With all conceptualizations pacified into space, filling all directions with immaculate light. This, manifestly covered by an endless golden net of qualities, is the spring of samsara and nirvana. May that glorious Vajradhara benefit limitless beings. The mind-thief of ordinary thoughts Constantly wanders on the unbearable path of existence. Although one's own mind, like a guest, desires to find its own place, Seeing that the enjoyments of samsara and nirvana are destroyed, Whoever has the powerful host of wisdom troops, The armor of deity forms of appearance and emptiness, a string of water-buckets, Adorned with weapons of vast activities, That one will surely be led to a place of protection and bliss. Pacifying the unbearable obstacles of earth and dust, And desiring the crops of accomplishment to flourish and grow, Therefore, I pour down this great rain of the nectar of sadhana, May all the assemblies of fortunate farmers rejoice. From the tantras of the glorious great Vajradhara, the methods of accomplishment that are truly taught and spoken, like an ocean of nectar, are composed by accomplished masters in various regions, times, and circumstances, in accordance with the thoughts of various sentient beings, and in connection with the yoga of deities, various sadhanas are now gathered together in one place. Just as from the ocean arise masses of rain clouds, and from those clouds fall rains with eight branches in various places. Those
