Therefore, offer the Torma. If you cannot generate the retinue extensively, then after the realization of the main deity, just recite the names of the retinue, or visualize being surrounded by the ocean of oath-bound beings. Do the Om on the forehead, etc. The medium Torma ritual is: without generating the retinue, only generate the main deity, and then do the invitation, etc. The verses of offering, etc., can also be omitted. The abbreviated one is: without generating the Samaya being, but inviting the Wisdom being, that is, from one's own heart, rays of light emanate, shining on the great charnel grounds of the east and south, the cool garden, etc., do as before. In both the medium and abbreviated versions, abandon the visualization of the three essentials, and then offer the Torma, etc. When it is not the time for practice, in the usual recitation, mostly this latter one is mainly adopted. The self-generation is: in general, it is acceptable to rely on any Yidam, but mainly it seems to be done by relying on any one of Chakrasamvara, Vajrabhairava, Hayagriva, etc. Whether one visualizes oneself and the front-generation as inseparable or separate, or only does the realization of the single form of the Protector, or relies on the Secret Accomplishment Adorned One, etc., also appears from the original instructions, and because it is not contradictory to the scriptures, it is very acceptable. However, for beginners, it is best to practice in the usual way. Here it is said: Thus, the Guru and Protector are inseparable, This brief summary of the practice is only briefly stated, The excellent former teachers have repeatedly, Clearly explained, but at the request of others, Extremely clear, both extensive and concise without fault, If explained in easy-to-understand words, Thinking that it might benefit those of inferior intelligence, Therefore, the various intentions and the order, Are distinguished separately in the same order. By this virtue, may we achieve enlightenment, May all obstacles be pacified and all favorable conditions be fulfilled, May all supreme and common accomplishments, Be attained in this very moment. Those who are malicious and full of hatred, In an instant, completely destroy them, Through the power of the four activities of pacifying, increasing, subjugating, and wrathful, May the activities spread and expand in the ten directions. This was also at the request of many excellent spiritual friends, Composed by Gyalwakhampa Tarānantha at the age of twenty-seven, on the eighth day of the waxing moon of the Black Month.
