便会转生到地狱。地狱中阴不会转变成人中阴，或者说无法逆转。如果形成天中阴，就只会转生为天人，意思是不会转变成地狱等。又，如果有什么特殊情况可以逆转呢？经中说，因为对佛、菩萨们的供养具有力量，以及不可思议的慈悲加持，咒语和仪轨等具有不可估量的力量，即使已经形成了恶趣的中阴，也能凭借这些善行的利益，转变成天中阴等。此外，关于寿命的差别，从最短暂的一刹那到七天之间，长短不定。据说没有超过七天的。即使过了七天，如果没有找到转生的机缘，那么前一个中阴身的寿命耗尽而死后，又会形成一个新的中阴身。像这样，有可能长达七个七天都找不到转生的机缘。之后必定会找到，所以才说没有超过这个期限，这是就大多数情况而言。第二，中阴的征兆有：四种行走的道路，三种可怕的悬崖，六种确定的征兆，六种不确定的征兆，以及四种恐怖的声音等等。无论去往何处，如果出现白色的光芒之路，就会转生到天界或非天。如果出现黑色的道路，就会转生到地狱。如果出现红色的道路，就会转生到饿鬼。如果出现黄色的道路，就会进入人道和畜生道等。同样，由于贪欲的业力较重，会看到巨大的红色悬崖。由于愚痴的业力较重，会看到灰白色的悬崖。由于嗔恨的业力较重，会看到漆黑的悬崖，这是堕入三恶道的预兆。四种声音是指，在生前四大种的能量没有闭锁，风和分别念随意散乱，因此凭借这些习气的力量，在中阴的这个时候，微细的四大种元素错乱，因此会出现类似山崩塌的声音，水泛滥时类似大海翻腾的声音，火蔓延时类似森林被焚烧的声音，以及风错乱时，整个地方摇动并伴随着雷鸣般的声音。依靠这些声音，会产生各种各样的恐惧和痛苦。确定的征兆是：

Then one will be born in hell. The bardo of hell cannot be transformed or reversed into the bardo of humans. If the bardo of gods is formed, one will only be born as a god, meaning it cannot be transformed into hell, etc. Furthermore, under what special circumstances can it be reversed? It is said in the scriptures that because the offerings to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have power, and the blessings of inconceivable compassion, mantras and rituals have immeasurable power, even if the bardo of evil destinies has already been formed, one can transform into the bardo of gods, etc., through the benefits of these virtuous deeds. Moreover, regarding the differences in lifespan, it can be of uncertain length, from a single instant to seven days. It is said that it does not exceed seven days. Even after seven days, if one has not found the opportunity to be born, then the life of the previous bardo body expires and dies, and a new bardo body is formed again. In this way, it is possible that one may not find the opportunity to be born for up to seven weeks. After that, one will definitely find it, so it is said that it does not exceed this limit, which is based on the majority of cases. Secondly, the signs of the bardo are: four paths to travel, three terrifying precipices, six definite signs, six uncertain signs, and four terrifying sounds, etc. Wherever one goes, if a path of white light appears, one will be born in the realm of gods or asuras. If a black path appears, one will be born in hell. If a red path appears, one will be born as a hungry ghost. If a yellow path appears, one will enter the human realm and the animal realm, etc. Similarly, due to the heavy karma of desire, one will see a huge red cliff. Due to the heavy karma of ignorance, one will see a grayish-white cliff. Due to the heavy karma of hatred, one will see a pitch-black cliff, which is a sign of falling into the three evil destinies. The four sounds refer to the fact that during one's lifetime, the energies of the four elements were not locked, and the winds and discursive thoughts were scattered at will. Therefore, through the power of these habitual tendencies, at this time in the bardo, the subtle elements of the four elements are disordered, and thus there will be sounds like a mountain collapsing, sounds like the ocean churning when water floods, sounds like a forest being burned by fire when fire spreads, and sounds like thunder rumbling along with the shaking of the entire place when the wind is disordered. Relying on these sounds, various kinds of fear and suffering arise. The definite signs are:

以前被墙壁等阻碍，现在什么也不会阻碍了。以前说的话别人能听到，现在听不到了。以前日月星辰眼睛能看到，现在看不到了。以前有脚印等出现，现在不会出现脚印了。以前身体有影子，现在没有了。以前没有神通，现在有微弱的神通显现。这也是你处于中阴的征兆。看不到日月，出现非明非暗的景象，这是因为体内没有白红明点的缘故。其他都是因为没有具有阻碍的身体的缘故。六种不确定性是：住处不确定，食物不确定，衣服不确定，朋友不确定，行为不确定，心的显现方式不确定，刹那间就会改变，就像鸟毛被风吹动一样，飘忽不定。此外，还会有被凶猛野兽追赶，业力的黑白石子被抛撒，暴风雨雪等追赶而寻求庇护，死神使者押解等等，大多是恐惧的景象，难以言说的错觉会产生。前世已死，后世未来，现在正处于中阴之中。用诀窍抓住要点，心想此时必须解脱，因此要持续不断地保持正念。第三，中阴的景象是：现在你所显现的各种不确定的景象，都是由自己心识的错觉所产生的。外境中没有独立存在的实体，因此不要贪恋美丽的形象、悦耳的声音、芬芳的气味、甘甜的味道和舒适的触感，因为这些都是错觉。丑陋的形象和难听的声音等也是心识的错觉，不要感到不悦。同样，显现为敌人或朋友也是错觉，不要对显现为敌人者产生嗔恨，不要对显现为朋友者产生贪恋。显现为冷热也完全是错觉。即使出现热的景象，也不要害怕。不要贪恋和渴望寒冷。即使出现寒冷的景象，也不要害怕和痛苦。不要渴望和贪恋温暖。如果显现为女性，就对男性产生贪恋，

Previously, one was obstructed by walls and the like, but now nothing obstructs. Previously, words spoken were heard by others, but now they are not heard. Previously, the sun, moon, planets, and stars were seen by the eyes, but now they are not seen. Previously, footprints and the like appeared, but now no footprints appear. Previously, the body had a shadow, but now it does not. Previously, there was no clairvoyance, but now subtle clairvoyance arises in a faint way. This is also a sign that you are in the bardo. The appearance of neither light nor darkness, without seeing the sun and moon, is because there are no white and red essences within. The others are because there is no body with obstructions. The six uncertainties are: no certainty of place, no certainty of food, no certainty of clothing, no certainty of friends, no certainty of conduct, and no certainty of the way the mind appears. It changes and goes from moment to moment, like a bird's feather blown by the wind, wavering and unsteady. Furthermore, being chased by fierce wild animals, the scattering of black and white pebbles of karma, being chased by blizzards and seeking refuge, being led by the messengers of Yama, and so on, mostly fearful appearances, countless illusions will arise. The previous life has died, the next has not yet come, and now you are in the bardo. Grasp the key point with the instruction, thinking that one must be liberated at this time, therefore, maintain continuous mindfulness. Third, the appearances of the bardo are: all the uncertain appearances that arise to you now are caused by the illusions of your own mind. There is no independently existing entity in the external world, so do not be attached to beautiful forms, pleasant sounds, fragrant smells, sweet tastes, and comfortable sensations, because these are all illusions. Ugly forms and unpleasant sounds are also illusions of the mind, so do not be displeased. Likewise, appearing as enemies or friends is also an illusion, so do not be hateful towards those who appear as enemies, and do not be attached to those who appear as friends. Appearing as hot or cold is also entirely an illusion. Even if the appearance of heat arises, do not be afraid. Do not be attached to or desire cold. Even if the appearance of cold arises, do not be afraid or suffer from it. Do not long for or be attached to warmth. If one appears as a woman, one becomes attached to a man,
