The Essential Instructions for the Six-Branched Yoga in a Single Session The Essential Instructions for the Six-Branched Yoga in a Single Session The Essential Instructions for the Six-Branched Yoga in a Single Session are Presented. Homage to the Guru, Buddha, Bodhisattva) Here, the method of meditating by condensing the essence of the six-branched yoga into a single session is as follows: With the thought that the Three Jewels of Refuge know what you are doing, take refuge with trust, and generate the mind of bodhichitta, wishing to establish all sentient beings in unsurpassed enlightenment. Also, generate intense devotion and longing for the root guru. Then, the withdrawal of the senses: In a dark room, either real or similar, sit in the vajra posture, place your hands in fists on your thighs, straighten your spine, raise your torso, slightly bend your neck, touch the tip of your tongue to the palate, and with your eyes neither fully open nor fully closed, look upwards as if looking at the crown of your head. Clear the air three times, let your breath settle naturally, abandon all elaboration of thoughts about the three times, and focus on the dark blue sky where your gaze is directed, using it merely as a support to prevent the mind from wandering. Do not strain too much, and do not relax too much, but rest naturally and loosely. This is the yoga of the night. When the sky is clear without clouds or wind, avoid sunlight falling on your body and eyes. Open your eyes wide and look at the clear blue sky, and practice the other meditation methods as before. This is the yoga of the day. In this way, by practicing the two yogas of day and night as one, the ten signs, such as smoke, will become manifest. Therefore, completely abandon all thoughts, and turn back all the senses. In a solitary hermitage, completely abandon all duality. Turn your eyes upwards, and focus your mind between your eyebrows. The practitioner will initially see something like unbearable darkness. As it says in the Wisdom Vajra Tantra. Then, one should practice meditation, which is similar to the yoga of withdrawal. Look unwaveringly at the appearance of emptiness that you see, with the gaze described above, and

Also, focus intently on that image, without making any artificial modifications. When attentively observing the self-nature face of that empty image, appearances will not cease, and one should recognize and be aware of that realm that cannot be described as "the self-nature of this place and time," and is free from elaboration. That is a branch of wisdom. From that, the five branches will arise in sequence: the conceptual thought of experiencing appearances as one's own mind, the analysis of recognizing that which is free from characteristics, joy and bliss in body and mind, and the extreme familiarity with the bliss of the inseparable blending of object and subject. If the instruction on the empty image is not obtained, then meditate on gathering back into samadhi. During session breaks, make most activities similar to before, but look more intently at ordinary appearances, and simply recognize that their self-nature is clear and ungraspable, and then maintain that state. Through alternating between meditation and post-meditation, the branch of contemplation will arise immediately. Like that: The arising of the three secrets is conceptual thought, enjoying it is analysis, the third is similar to joy and bliss, the fourth is encompassed by bliss, the arising and ceasing of knower and known, the fifth is knowing one's own mind. This is from the Later Collection Sutra. The branch of life force exertion is: the body's posture is the same as other postures, the way of looking is the nectar swirling gaze, which is to look directly at the space between the eyebrows. The key point of speech is to exhale the nine-round breath. When holding the exhaled breath slightly, tighten the lower gate and pull the anus upwards vigorously to the navel. Visualize the upward-moving air as the sound of Om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡), and with that belief, guide it upwards, pressing it towards the navel. Pull the downward-moving air vigorously. If you feel slightly uncomfortable, inhale a small amount again, and pull and press. During that time, visualize the breath remaining in the sound of Hum Then, slowly exhale with a thin and long force, and visualize it as the sound of the letter Ah This method should be practiced repeatedly. The key point of mind is that it is permissible to alternate briefly visualizing the sounds of the three syllables, but most importantly, during all three stages of the breath's entry, abiding, and exit, equally settle the awareness of experiencing the empty image and the touch of the breath, in the manner of your own awareness. After becoming slightly familiar, at the time of exhaling the breath, the empty image itself
